Q: I wear a 7 1/2. what size should i buy?

This style ran big on me. I wear an 8-81/2 and bought a 39. The heel came out about 3/4 inch past mine. Much too big. Another style by Sanita ran true to size, though.

Q: What is the exact heel height in inches? Someone wrote about 1.5" but from owning clogs, I think the heal looks higher (I hope).

1.5 is about right. I enjoy wearing shoes with a higher heel bot unfortunately these are almost flat
