Key Words : 1c Read and write [Hardcover] Ladybird

My child was finding it very difficult to read. So some one suggested these books, and I tried it out. Each book introduces a few new words at a time without confusing the child. Now my child is able to read fluently.

I had just one of this book, I don't remember from where I had got it as a child. Though I had a desire to get some more of the type I hadn't the means to know from where to purchase them as in our days we had no computers or internet or online purchase. Now with all these facilities I am collecting the same for my grandchildren. I hope they will use my collections and know the value of these books. They are so good to learn the English language, simple and pictorial. Just one theme a book. Though a little costly, they are worth it.

I can not recommend these books enough. My 4+ yr kid learned to read with the "Key Words" series of books published by Ladybird.The systematic approach is very good and the pictorial presentation along with the reading really help the kid to learn and understand rather memorize it. I feel so great when my kid read small sentences from the newspaper and major credit goes to "Ladybird" for this GREAT reading material for kids.I am now buying complete set.Hope this review is helpful in your decision making.

Good one for beginners. The price should be less.

Excellent books from Ladybird. My 5.5 year old daughter reads them without help. She loves these books. I have bought around 5-6 of them and hope to buy the entire series soon. It's really good for kids who are just learning to read by themselves.

worth to purchase, good for kids

It's really good for introducing reading to young children. It's very colourful and they keep introducing new work in the books.

My 4 yrs old son can read the books. These books are very nicely written in a well planned manner. I am planing to get the next series too.

I am going to try this series withm my adult student second language speakders. Prehaps the British version will work better than the American.

This arrived totally unfit for purpose. Each page, every illustration and every task had been thoroughly scribbled on with green marker pen. There is no way this book could be of any help to my grandson. Did the seller actually open it and/or really think someone would pay for this? “Used” is one description but this is beyond that. Have requested a refund. I’ve given it 1 star because I can’t give none. If it hadn’t been written on it would have been a good buy.

This Ladybird reading scheme is excellent. I taught my daughters to read at a very early age with this series and now my daughters in turn are helping their own children. We adults may find them repetitive but that’s just what is needed to give young learners confidence. I cannot praise the series highly enough.
