works well in getting powder into wasp nest. gives targeted puff better than out of the tub. Easy to fill up and use. yeah works a treat

If my son were a few years older, I could have probably got him to make one of these at school for me. Unfortunately he isn't and I have zero metalwork skills, or a lathe come to that, hence a purchase was required.I was a pit peeved paying this much for a metal tube and rubber bulb but options were limited. Could have got one for less but looked like it was being shipped from China with a four week plus deliver date. Hmm, no thanks - need this now to help deal with a troublesome wasp nest.Anyway, it's quite good quality really and comes with a handy funnel and little plastic cap to keep the end dry and clean. Fill the bulb with wasp killing powder, or any other powder of your choice, with the funnel to avoid too much mess, screw the pipe on the bulb and that's a rap. End cap off and squeeze.............out puffs the powder. Simples.I would have preferred a longer tube but they all seem the same. It's definitely easier than trying to squeeze directly from the powder container but an extra foot or so would be really helpful.

If you want to apply powder like diatomaceous earth, it's perfect, easy to use, gives a wonderful cover. Very effective.

was a bit worried about negative reviews but, ordered it to see if it would work.It seems sturdy and well made, comes with a little measuring jug, funnel and something else which I havent worked out what it is for yet.So firstly - dont over fill it, take a heaped table spoon of Diatomaceous earth, sieve it - very important to get any lumps out & prevent clogging. then I tipped the D.E on a piece of paper to slide it into the funnel. tightened the nozzle back on and whilst holding pretty flat roughly parallel to the floor just gently puff the D.E where you need it. I would advise wearing a mask particularly if you accidentally puff it too hard & end up with a dust cloud like I did. So far I have done skirting boards, under bed, cat beds, under sofa cushions - if you keep the dusting light it is not visible, you dont need loads to shred a flea. very pleased with how it works. obviously store some where dry with nozzel cover on when not in use.

If using with DE it's almost impossible to fill. Due to the texture of the DE it won't go through the funnel (required to fill it) without being pushed through which takes a long time.

I bought this for using powdered insecticide to clear a wasp nest. It made it much easier to get the powder into the nest entrance than using just the dispenser in which the powder was provided.

Funnel supplied has a very small outlet to fit into the bulb.Clogs up easily if using Diatomaceous Earth Powder.Needed to keep 'rodding' the funnel to clear it and fill it.If one was using something more granular then would probably be OK.A very good quality built item of brass and rubber.
