buy this one to fly its worth it
let bad first the throttle has a little play between the 2 halves left to right ,,,, the rest so far is amazing took a little to get used to the position of the throttle 2 spin knobs top and bottom i use for vert thrust and horz thrust because the x52 has one on its side and that made it make more sense beyond that this is making my gaming so much better I have almost all elite daNGEROUS controls mapped and im only on M1 mode i still have M2 and S1 i could use,, would be extra nice if the throttle stiffness had a little more range between is easy movement and hard it starts at about medium stiff but i have read that will get easier over time so not really a complaint I have rather large hands and it feels nice fit not reaching for anything tiny hands may have a small reach issue but should be manageable ,, each half have 4 corner holes so you can mount it to a dest directly or buy a mount system starting at 59 bucks so not bad at all i used 3.5in wood screws attaches it to 7x9 in x1/2 in wood plates and then attached ttaht to the edge of my desk feels nice and can be moves other controlers have overly complex whole patterns so this is by far easier to mount I opted to follow another review and download g drivers system so i have the option to pre program all my buttons to keybinds this way they would be universal across any game i play but thus far i just mapped them within the game im playing as i learn what feels natural to me PLUG directly into the pc do not use a hub unless its a powered hub and high powered one at that if you cant avoid using a low powered hub go into the g software and make the RGB black or super dark so it draws less power and this will help avoid ghost inputs this is an ISSUE with MANY MANYY rgb devices so I do not fault this one easy plug n play usb and great great value

Great HOTAS for Flight Sims
Bought to replace an X52 after frustrations with that throttle. Both of these controls have some quirks, but overall I love them. The stick is surprisingly sensitive. I fly IL2 and do a good bit of formation work, and the stick is sufficiently sensitive to work this with no deadzones. I put in the second to lightest included spring after the standard on lightest both weren't quite right for me. The buttons are solid adn the hats are great. A few other pros/cons:Pros:- Literally more hats than I can use. I have one on the stick and one on the throttle that are essentially unused in IL2.- Overall build quality and precision is very good on the stick and superb on the throttle.- Love the split option on the throttle for multi-engine.- Bought rudder pedals when I got this, but actually prefer the twist-stick for rudder. Works great (wish I could adjust the tension, but can't have everything).- Throttle rotary controls both incorporate a button push and a center of rotation detent. Great control which I use for mixture/prop, boost/airbrakes.- Overall quality is less than Warthog or high-end EU stuff, but falls in 'just right' category for me. Plugnplay w/ Win10 and key mapping is seamless within the game.Cons:- Lacks the two stage trigger from my old X52 - why??? That was a great feature!- Throttle is naturally VERY high friction. Literally impossible to rapidly slam it to the stops. I imagine this will make it last longer, but be ready to adapt your control style. I cannot imagine many people using ANY of the included friction lock until they've had it a LONG time.- I love the toggle switches on the throttle, rather than on base of the stick like on the X52. However, despite the sidebars, switches 1-6 sit directly under your wrist as it rests on the throttle. This has led to a few inadvertent activations of these switches in-sim while flying. Needless to say, I remapped Ctrl-E to a different toggle! Its uncomfortable too. Relocating and incorporating a smooth wrist rest would be better.- The two way pinkie slide on the front of the throttle has some issues and no longer returns to center after just a few months. I use this for flaps so makes me check the control position any time I deploy them.- Both the stick and throttle incorporate a mouse-stick type control that I cannot utilize effectively. No real need in my current games, and sensitivity would need a lot of tweaking. I would really have preferred a thumb button where the mouse-stick is on the stick.Bottom Line: If it breaks, I'll get it fixed and keep using it, not replace with Warthog or other. Sufficient for my use in IL2 and likely DCS and other sims as well. I don't do Elite or space sims, but I imagine that it would be great there too.

Quality H.O.T.A.S Throttle and Stick
I bought the Logitech G X56 H.O.T.A.S for the intention of playing Microsoft Flight Simulator with the intention of eventually upgrading and buying and fully Honeycomb Aeronautical setup with a more advanced Yoke and Throttle Quadrant more suited for airliners. The X56 is pretty good for a flight simulator setup, before I bought it ai had only had minimal experience with the X52 by Logitech G. My first annoyance after plugging them into my PC is that they do not connect to the Logitech G Hub, which was partially why I bought them over Thrustmaster. Other than that, the stick is good, it is a bit of a pain to set up all of the buttons and add deadzones to ensure there is no stick drift which was a problem I had with the little joystick where your thumb likes to go and mess with your camera. Which brings me to my next thing which was that it’s not super comfortable to hold. Your thumb either has to be below the joystick or up near the silver and black camera look functions, which is not very convenient or comfortable. Overall okay but by no means amazing. The throttle is okay, it is definitely one that you want to get a mount for or drill it into your desk somewhere with some screws. I have not done anything yet, because I haven’t figured out exactly where I want them, but it is annoying to throttle up and the throttle is so stiff that the base likes to push up with the throttle, which is annoying with takeoffs but is fixable with a mount. The switches are good quality. It has a mode selector in the bottom left, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to use it. The nice thing about the throttle is that there is a nice spot next to the top and bottom silver knobs to put your thumb where is won’t adjust any cameras you don’t want to.One thing I would for sure do is get a label maker and label all of your switches so you don’t accidentally turn your engine off midair or turning on your parking brake instead of lowering your flaps.Overall pretty good as an entry level setup, but I will likely sell them later once I upgrade.

Cool looking garbage
TLDR: Please, do not buy a Logitech flight stick that is anything other than the Extreme 3D or whatever it is (it’s like 30$ new). You should never pay over 100$ for a brand new hotas from Logitech. The stick is garbage and the throttle is usable but absolutely not worth buying at full price. The quality of Logitech’s X52 and X56 is horrible even when assuming you’ve won the QA lottery and get one that doesn’t start failing within weeks or out of the box.The plastic material is incredibly creeky and feels cheap. The stick is very light so it’s very easy to accidentally lift off the desk, even if you’ve got it suction cupped to the surface.Do yourself an enormous favor and look at the VKB NXT Gladiator Space Combat Edition. It’s significantly less expensive and 100x the quality. Just feeling the stick move around would convince anyone to throw the Logitech stuff in the garbage and flip them the bird for even trying to sell their hotas options at over 200$. You can find an affordable throttle or make do with the throttle lever on the base of the stick until you find a proper throttle. VKB’s customer service is also top tier while Logitech’s is… Logitech’s. I cannot overstate the jump in quality and value you get when comparing VKB to Logitech’s garbage.I’m leaving the earlier parts of the review I made soon after getting the hotas but I’ve removed the pros section I’d initially written long ago because it basically amounted to “Looks cool and has lots of buttons” and none of that matters if the thing is crap quality and breaks.Cons:-Flight stick is basically unusable for me because of the poorly designed button placement and ergonomics. I have relatively large hands and the majority of the buttons are still out of reach from a normal hand position on the stick. In order to use these buttons, I have to take my hand almost entirely off of the stick which is a huge disadvantage when you're trying to stay alive in a dogfight or in the middle of a tricky carrier landing (or whatever).-In addition to the buttons on the flight stick being too far away from your thumb, other buttons (particularly the 'C' analog stick) sits right in the way of where your thumb naturally wants to sit so you're either constantly accidentally nudging the stick to the point where you have to disable it or keep it unbound or you're holding the stick in a manner that doesn't allow your thumb to rest which is exhausting and going to strain your hand in a matter of minutes. Another button you'll be accidentally clicking is the one on the back side of the stick near the bottom which your pinky finger will naturally be bumping into.-The backlighting on the joystick's grey hat stick is very bright and while there's probably a way to dim it through some application, I'd rather not have to bother with their applications because they're likewise very poorly designed in regard to the UI.-The main issue here is that the stick just isn't comfortable to hold or use. Buttons in poor places and the overall shape of the stick make it far less comfortable than my 10 year old Logitech 3d Pro (which I'll likely be going back to)I will note that despite the joystick being quite disappointing, the throttle control looks and feels far better. I'll be returning this joystick and throttle but if I had the option of just sending back the stick and keeping the throttle and getting half my money back, I'd probably do it.**This review was made literally hours after unboxing and setting things up so I may change my mind on things or find new things to take issue with. 9/12/22***Edit (7/23/26) Do not but this HOTAS or Logitech’s X52 Pro. I tried both of them and *both* stopped working after less than two weeks… 2 weeks! Both were brand new and before they started totally failing, I was having buttons stop working, analog stick drift, then main axis drift, triggered stopped working, and finally the pitch axis on the X52 totally failed (hand totally off the stick was giving maximum forward input no matter how I tried to calibrate it or rebind the axis). The X-56 specifically suffered from dramatically worsening stick drift in the X axis and buttons that would stop working.I initially thought it could be a result of the computer not having enough power to supply everything at once but even after using a powered USB hub, the same problems occurred and worsened until I gave up on it after a week or so.

Good but could be better.
This HOTAS is great with the many, many different switches and buttons. It isn’t cheap and the quality isn’t the best as this is my third one. The joystick hasn’t had any problems but the throttle has. Unfortunately you cannot just replace the throttle you have to purchase both.

Previous Issues Gone
While this HOTAS has a troubled past I can attest to what I received as being awesome. While I have used a x52 pro in the past and its issues are well documented, I was nicely surprised by its updated system. I was a bit scared when reading some of the other reviews of this HOTAS here. But the X56 has more than enough buttons on the stick and throttle and two very needed joystick type sticks that really set this thing apart. Yes it is of plastic construction, and I could see someone with small hands having issues with accessing all the hat switches, dials and buttons. I have large hands so that doesnt apply to me. Its a Logitech product now and it seems all the issues from its predecessor Saitek are gone. While first plugging it in I did have an issue with one of the C sticks (joystick type, mouse emulation) drifting just like the X52 pro I have. I was like oh no, its happening again. However i took the grip off the base and reapplied it and screwed it very carefully. Thankfully that fixed the issue. On the positive side this thing has a ton of button and switches. I can see if you are looking for replicas of a certain aircraft (like the a10) then this is not in that vein of aesthetics. I played around for almost and hour within the software (which you will have to download) and found it complex, but anyone with experience with the programming software of the x52 pretty easy to get the hang of. Also on a positive note the stick itself comes with 3 other springs for those like me that like some resistance and it does not flop around like my x52 does. So precise moment is easy to obtain. The RGB lighting can be bright or subtle thanks to the software, so you can do really bright or turn it off completely. The stick itself is very subdued and I like the back lighting on the buttons.I been eyeing other higher price joystick as an upgrade to my 5 year old x52 and I must say, I like this X56 system. I dare say that for the price this thing compete with higher end HOTAS systems. I have had it for a day now and have put in nearly 12 hours in DCS. Also I suspect that the stick needs a good amount of power so I would highly recommend pluging the system directly into the back of your computer and not a hub.Things I do not like:1. no 2 stage trigger. I was used to using the first stage for comms, but I was able to adjust to the side button for teamspeak and SRS.2. the mode switch is really stiff, I dont know if its because it is new but it takes some effort.3. The pinky two way switch on the throttle is uncomfortable. The button has a sharp ridge to the plastic and makes it a bit uncomfortable. If it had been rotated 90 degrees your pinky would fit nicely in the groove.Things I love:the inclusion of 2 joystick type switches. This makes slewing target sensors a snap and it has a push down button adding even more true hands on. They where a bit scary when i first plugged it in do the noticeable drift. This was fixed though by unplugging the stick, unscrewing the stick handle, carefully screwing it back into the base.MORE than enough hats, buttons and switched for advanced sims like the A10c and Hornet.

Depends… Airlines or Fighters?
I was conflicted on how many stars to give this product. In many ways it is five stars for the value. SO many Hat switches, joy sticks, dials, switches, buttons, and all high quality. However, I could only recommend this setup for someone using it for something like X-plane or Flight Simulator where you fly Airline planes, and in that case you have no need for all these Throttle Joysticks to aim weapons. The reason is the throttle. Look up all the reviews and suggested “Fixes” if you don’t believe me, but this amazing, detailed, and realistic throttle setup is completely ruined for Fighter aircraft by the type or quantity of dampening grease they used inside it. It is so stiff I need all my weight on it to jet get it moving, then it takes forever to slowly push it up or down. This feels GREAT for an airline jet and very realistic. But if you think you are going to be able to air-to-air refuel, or land, or fight in a DCS jet or space simulator, good luck. You can work it up and down until it heats up and it feels perfect, but if you stop moving it for even 30 seconds it freezes up again. Several people online have tried taking it apart and removing the dampening grease. I eventually tried it instead of throwing it away, as I only play DCS and it was useless to me. But that stuff is like superglue that never dries, almost impossible to remove, and even after getting a lot of it off, it is no better.I love everything else about the product so much, I eventually started using one of the dial knobs for my throttle and still use it on DCS that way. But it is such a shame that such a highly detailed and quality product is ruined by something so easy to fix by finding less resistant dampening lubricant.

Nice HOTAS
Not sure why this is getting negative reviews. People need to be slightly educated to use this. First, if you're getting ghosting on the joystick, UNPLUG IT. Clean the contacts on the base AND the stick. Reassemble. Make sure it is tightened ALL the way. Run the program to zero it. As for the throttle, yes it is extremely tight due to the "lubricant" they put in it. There isn't an sticker on this that says "warranty void if opened ", so nit sure how it voids the warranty if you open it. I opened it, removed the glue they called lubricant where the throttle moves. Got as much off as I could on the gears. Used the thermal grease that I use for my 3d printer to replace it. Works 100% better. Shame on Logitech for using silicone glue type lubricant. Lubricant isnt sticky. The fingers tips of the latex gloves I used were getting stuck together. Had to trash the shop towels I used to clean the glue off the gears. 5 stars after I cleaned the junk out. PAY ATTENTION LOGITECH. STOP USING THAT GARBAGE.

Value for money
There's no pretending that this is the best HOTAS on the market, it's not. It's very plastic-y , and the throttle has a well documented issue of needing an unreasonable amount of force to move (something to do with the grease in the bearings). I also had to return the first one I got due to drift on the joystick caused by a failure in the joystick base/mount. This was dealt with under warranty directly through Logitech support, and I received a full refund for the defective product (I bought another of the same joystick to replace it, and this did not have the same problem so hopefully that was a one-off issue).Where this shines though, is value. It's much cheaper than other comparable setups. It's a fantastic 'starter kit' to find out if the immersion of HOTAS control is for you. It's entirely capable even if it's not the best on the market, so like me you might just keep it on the shelf for the odd foray into flight or space simming, or decide to go all out and buy a higher end setup after 'dipping your toes' with this.

Very good
Very good quality and fast shipping

Absolutely fantastic. One small downside.
Everything, honestly, everything is fantastic. No fatigue from prolonged use. Software works great, had issues programming macros but figured it out within 30 minutes.I wear medium gloves, number 8, as a hand size reference. You might have issues with comfort with smaller hands, but you will be more comfortable with bigger hands.I use this to play elite dangerous. The price might seem a little high, but if you plan on playing hundreds of hours then it's well worth it.The only negative would be the throttle's dear zone, which is very small and sensitive. It causes issues when landing or leaving a station. You'll bump your ship a lot, bad when running without Shields.

Excelente!
Excelente conjunto. Requer cuidados para as conexões nas portas USB certas no PC para garantir a estabilidade dos comandos. Muito bem acabado, matéria de primeira qualidade, apesar de ter uma base de plástico. Já comprei os pedais da mesma marca. Recomendo.
