Ginkgo International Corrie 42-Piece Stainless Steel Flatware Place Setting, Service for 8 Plus 2-Piece Hostess Set

After more pieces of our old mixture of 3-4 different sets went into the disposal, we decided it was time to get a decent (non-disposal damaged) set of silverware for everyday. I'd never heard of Ginkgo but I kept going back to their sets while shopping. Excellent choice if I do say so myself. These are beautiful and shiny. The slight indentation in the design fits the hand perfectly and while not super heavy, the pieces have good weight. The set seems to have bridged the gap between very modern and Euro classic. The teaspoons are very large, but who wants tiny spoons? The teaspoons are also a good size (remember, these are not measuring spoons), nice and deep. The salad forks have better size and longer tines than most dinner forks and the dinner forks are truly classic. After all the warnings, I'm a little afraid to put them in the dishwasher but eventually I will. So far, no signs of rust and I don't expect any. When we start entertaining again, we'll probably add on.

My wife and I have been using a collection of mismatched silverware for years and while we loved our old forks and spoons, we wanted something a bit more formal but also something we could use everyday. We found it with the Corrie flatware from Ginkgo. We use it everyday. Everything feels great in our hands. The design is contemporary without being too modern. It's easy to clean since it is dishwasher safe. I would highly recommend this set.

This silverware is nice and heavy. Doesn't feel cheap. It's shiny, looks good and feeds me every day. I'd recommend it!
