I've had the plastic version of this, by Wilton as well. It was half the price and lasted a number of years, but eventually the hand pump broke and I needed to replace it. I was hoping to buy the same one but couldn't find it so I bought this. I LOVE IT. It's much better quality. Very easy to use. My 10 year old daughter uses it to decorate cupcakes and they turn out beautifully. Spend the money and buy this over the cheap bags....its so easy to use and will last for years.

I really like the design, feel and function of this product. I do wish, however, I could more easily find replacement parts. One of my necks (I guess) that screws on and hold a tip in place split right down the middle. I have mostly used it when I make deviled eggs. Works great.

Very effective decorator tool with fluffy, light-weight frostings, such as buttercream and cream cheese frosting. The variety of tips are easy to change, and the design makes refilling the chamber with frosting quite easy. Everything comes apart for washing. A small draw-string mesh bag for both washing the tips in the dishwasher (with varying degrees of success) and to keep the tips together for storage is a nice inclusion. I've used this set to decorate sugar cookies and cakes, and the variety of tips works well for all the modern-style decorating design. Icing roses are nothing like they once were. It's good to know both kind of "roses" tips are included. I wish this set had some sort of a storage container or box to keep it clean in the cupboard. This kitchen tool was purchased to replace a Pampered Chef decorator that had broken (the thumb-pressed lever had eventually broken in use). So far, this one from Wilton has been of equivalent quality, durability, and the design is better in my opinion, as the plunger within the cylinder is not rubberized (first part of the PC decorator to fail). This decorator Pro may not be the MOST used item in the kitchen, but it's one of those specialty tools I've decided I don't want to do without. Makes sugar cookie decoration significantly easier and better. Highly Recommended. 4.5 stars, rounded up to 5.

I initially was only going to give this item 3 stars. Not because the small diameter coupler broke, (that was my fault). But because of the customer service trying to see if I could get the part. But happy to say after doing some searching (yeah I still wish they'd make it a little easier). But found the right place on the Wilton website and once I did I will say I got rather fast response, (as in the same day) that they would be sending a replacement part. So I would highly recommend this especially if you've got arthritis in your hands.

Opened to use twice. First time it was great. Second time the plastic cap that screws on and holds the tips in place broke in half so I either buy a whole new gun or take the loss and do without. Very disappointing.

Works great but the cap that holds the decorating tip cracked.

I had one of these years ago and it finally broke. I received this and was so delighted that it was so sturdy and easy to use. Still an attractive stainless canister. It’s so easy to clean and take apart, I make deviled eggs and use the tip. You can also use it to decorate with meringue the grip is perfect, it very light and easy to maneuver around. It is perfectly sized so I can fill it with 14 egg yolks.

I’ve always struggled with piping bags so this is perfect for me! Easy to load and just squeezes right out!

Works so nice for when you are decorating large cakes. It would be nice if it came with an easily interchangeable liner so that it didn’t pigeon hole you on what color to use for cake decorating. But when compared to hand piping a large cake, this will save a lot of gripping and thus pain.
