Good device for people working from home and have bluetooth restrictions on the office laptops
Compact device which does exactly what it's supposed to. One can connect a bluetooth headset with a mic and make calls without any issues. The mic on the headset is used and works like it would when connected to a phone or any other bluetooth device. The controls won't work of course. As for music, the audio is a bit flat. Don't know why. Ample volume though. In my opinion, not ideal for music etc. Range is also not that great. Works in a limited line of sight scenario. The device can be used while charging. One needs to connect the power while the device is switched off. Once it starts charging, turn on power and it connects to a previously paired device. As for Aptx, there is no symbol or anything that shows Aptx being utilized and the sound isn't how we expect from an Aptx device. There is a night and day difference when my headphone is connected through this to the laptop and when connected directly. (Tested on a personal samsung galaxybook laptop)The device is a heaven sent for people using office laptops with restrictions, as this enables them to cut the wires and use their regular bluetooth head/ear phones, minus the tether of a wired device.

Good quality and support
I needed a device to connect my Google Home to my Onkyo 7.1 HT.My Requirements:1)Interface to HT using optical cable2) Best sound quality3) TX and Rx options.4) Unit in operation even when charging.(if battery goes bad after some years, I should still be able to use it.)After extensive reading of the specs and reviews on Amazon, I decided to buy this.Pros: Tested RX only.1)Good quality, easy connectivity with Google Home,2)works while charging. I am not hearing any noticeable noise from the speaker while charging. More test will follow during quieter times.3) Sound quality is awesome.4) Bandwidth: audible for me from 20Hz to ~14KHz. The unit may be reproducing above 14Khz also, but my ears may not be good enough. Tested using Sine wave. Not tested:1)TX section is not yet tested.2)Battery lifeEdit: On further testing, I hear clicks before a high impulse sound. Not so audible, but definitely can be heard when listening in quiet rooms. Reducing the rating to 4 star.Edit: On further testing, I identified the clicks noise may have been due to the connection through the Google Home and the Chromecast requiring higher processing speed. When directly connected through Bluetooth, there are no clicks. So the device as such is performing well. Back to 5 StarEdit: Checked the transmitter section. There is delay in the sound of almost quarter to half a second. Sound quality is same as receiver.Edit: Bought the device on 18 May 2020. Now on 13 May 2021, the optical output section is NOT WORKING. I do not see the red laser light in the SPDIF connector.I wrote an email on15th May 2021, got a reply 30mins later mentioning that I will receive a call from support. I received a call at 4:45pm on the same day. After discussion, I found that the two SPDIF cable have been swapped on the unit. This might have happened when we were cleaning the TV unit a few days back. Now happy to infor that everything is back to working condition. I appreciate the support team for quick response. My rating is now 5stars.

A convenient BT receiver, transmitter with average audio quality
My review and opinion is based on two days usage. No comparison with any other similar device as this is my first device of this kind. Tested for different connectivity features, range and audio quality. I have used stock as well as better/high quality cables. However, at this point I cannot comment on Product durability and how much the charge last in real usage.I have mainly bought this product for the sole purpose of connecting it to “Amazon Firestick” in RX/Receiving mode and using this to power my “wired headphones” through the “Aux out”. For this purpose, it is good but sound is slightly harsh, not very refined. Solves the purpose as dialogues and movie/series music is clear but not graceful in presentation for songs & music listening. When in this same mode the input is given to an “External Integrated amplifier” the audio output is subdued, not dynamic at all. However, I feel if the input to this BT device is through “SPDIF Digital optic cable” the sound will be much better. There is a musesonic model in the range above this that has digital optic input and output and that model will suit the purpose of those who wants to use this as an interface in RX mode. Sound will be much better, dynamic and clear.Testing in TX /Transmitting mode (Same tracks played in all options). Although this will not be my primary usage but to check the audio quality, I tested it with different components.Opt 1- Android mobile connected to this BT device with help of Aux cable and a BT headset paired with this device. Sounds OK but not as clear and refined as when the connection is done between Mobile and BT headphone directly. I also connected this same way with an external BT speaker, the result is same as felt with BT headphones. The BT range is good as I have checked by going to other rooms of my home and there is no loss of connection.Opt 2 – Connected a “WD Media Hub” to this device in TX mode. RCA analog out from the Media hub and connecting to the Aux in of the device. Tested both BT headset and speaker in this type of connection. There was lot of distortion in sound, vocals and music all getting jumbled up giving a very bad feeling. However, to reconfirm that there is nothing wrong with the media Hub I gave the RCA analog direct connection to the Integrated amplifier and everything was Ok. Sound & music was detailed, clear and dynamic. Maybe there were some compatibility issues between this device and Live media hub as there is a cooling Fan inside the Media Hub that might be creating a problem.Note - I did not test this same method of TX mode connection between the TV and the device but hope that will have somehow similar “Bleak/low level” audio output as felt with other type of components in both RX & TX modes. My final conclusion - It solves the purpose but if a person is looking for clarity and perfection in music listening this is not a proper device, it is convenient and will be decent enough if one is not looking for a Refined & dynamic performance. Ease of connection and installation, no problem faced. The price and performance are in proportion. Deserved only 2.5 stars. I could have rated this better if audio output was better.
