Be Your Own Shaman: Heal Yourself and Others with 21st-Century Energy Medicine

Reading this book was the best thing that happens to me. I understand that everything I learned in life had a purpose, and deep in my heart I already know what Deborah thought me in this wonderful book.I started my spiritual journey 9 years ago. My family believes are catholic but I decide to quit after a divorce were I feel betrayal by the Catholic Church. I start seeking so I try Wicca, then Crystals, then Reiki, then Mercaba, and Tantra. I am from Colombia (South America), so I travel to the Amazon forest to learn from the indigenes.In that moment I was very confuse, with a lot of information. So I decided to stop seeking. I enter in a damage relationship with a man so I figured out I was a codependent. So I started a new journey with 12 steps meetings.After one year I finally met Deborah, and she in this amazing book makes me believe again. I really understand all of her writings, because I am a seeker like she is. She talks about recapitulations, she talk about prayer; she talks about energy and distance healing. She also teaches me new things and I can continue my journey under her umbrella because now I know where I am going. Thank you.

I really enjoyed reading this book and liked how Deborah speaks directly to the reader. I read it pretty quickly and then went to Deborah King's web site to find out more about her 21st Century Energy Medicine program. My interest in self healing, what I read in the book and on the web site lead me to enroll in the 48 week program.I would recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in self healing. I have read many other self healing books and this is on my shelf right along with many others. I am already practicing some of the techniques taught in the book. I am grateful to have another teacher enter my life to help me heal the emotional wounds we all carry. Learning this material is fun and life changing. We each have the gift to heal not only ourselves but once we clear ourselves of the emotional baggage, then others are drawn to us who want to also heal themselves. This is the gift of giving back.

My daughter was reading the book and I was curious what it was that she found so fascinating about this book. What you have to know is my daughter IS NOT a reader so the fact that she was reading a book was quite momentous. My daughter had, in fact, gone to several talks given by Deborah King. I found the book to be quite open about spiritual matters. Not sure if this was a book that I might want on my bookshelf I bought the Kindle version. After having read it I bought the hardcover book to put on my shelf. Healing is what the book primarily talks about and I found her book to be very informative and not at all dogmatic as some books of this type can be.I would definately recommend this book to anyone who is searching for knowledge on their spiritual journey to healing and health (both physical and spiritual).

I really appreciate this book, there is a lot of practical wisdom, and I am going to read it again to memorise and use more of that. Even if I am not a healer for others, I definitely strive to heal myself and this book has broadened my horizons as to what else I could use to cut off all energy ties and become more free, and that all ties are always made out of love, to teach us... I have come to understand that even for the worst things in my life there is no forgiveness necessary because, as a matter of fact, they have supported me in gaining so much wisdom and experience that I am deeply grateful for them. There is only love. And our lessons. Our spiritual evolution towards more love. Thank you for this book.

I don't feel I'm properly geared towards this type of consciousness and processing, but I decided to get the book regardless of my shortcomings out of curiosity and to potentially expand my abilities through stretching myself. This book turned out to be quite informative and surprisingly well done. It was incredibly helpful to someone who had never delved into the world of spiritual healing, and I would assume it would still be a great asset to those who may implicitly understand it. Overall very well done, and very impressed. It certainly did stretch me and took me to realms I never experienced before.

If you are interested in healing yourself, or healing others then this is the book for you! I LOVED it. It was the type of book, that once you pick it up, it's impossible to put it out of your hand. Each chapter just becomes more fascinating and more intriguing then the last. You just have no idea where this book will take you next. Deborah has had some of the most jaw dropping experiences that she shares in this book. One minute I was laughing out loud and the next I was scared half to death. I have been so inspired since reading, I learned so much about myself along the way. The exercises she teaches are so simple, yet they make such a difference. Deborah King and this book will change your life.

Such an exciting book! I have dabbled in learning about energy and meditating for a couple of years. I have read many books, sought out professionals to help me along, and attended several workshops while trying to figure out "ENERGY." Save yourself a lot of time and money by buying this book. Deborah is so clear and succinct in explaining the basics of energy medicine and the unified field. This book also told me how to affect change in myself with exercises to help clear out restrictive beliefs and increase my intuition, thus enabling me to begin my journey of healing. I learned so much and was greatly encouraged by Deborah's writing. I am on my second reading now. It is well worth my time!

This was a very nice introduction to energy healing. I’m interested enough to have signed up for one of her classes.

This book is very easy to read and understand, Deborah is a good teacher and master of her trade, I would like to join her in USA but the book is a substitute then go on line and get the newsletter, all good stuff.

don't waste your time reading this self promoting author. She is selling her "courses" on the occult. garbage!

It was a good book and very interesting and easy to read but it is not something that is easy on a kindle. I would have liked to go back more easily having a real book. There is a lot of reference and exercises that need to be looked at more than once.
