If your mind is with doubt I am the answer! 😋
Well Harman has done it again!! As the son of a professional musician I love music and it's in my blood so trust me when I say I can give a review of the T290 in 3 words, stylish, comfortable and BASS! First of all I'd like to thank Amazon for timely delivery of the product as well as having packed it so perfectly. Back to the headphones, the noise cancellation is so splendid that you can just close your eyes and immerse yourself in your world of music whatever your taste might be. The headphone gain is just perfect for comfortable listening and it can get loud for all you loud music fans out there. The lows are perfect but as for the highs it needs a little more work. I've been using the T100 for a while and it was one of my best buys it has stuck by me through thick and thin and i have no doubt these are gonna do the same as the flat cable is without a doubt the best quality. And the build quality of the headphones does justice and maybe a little bit more than what you paid for. On the whole it is a great buy so don't doubt it just go for it.

Earphone stops working. Good bass and sound quality.
Really good sound and bass. Only con, left earphone stopped working after few months.Bought it in September 2019, worked absolutely fine for first few months and then the left side stopped working on January. Got it replaced. Started working fine. The left side again stopped working on August. You would think that a 1200 rupees earphone would be better than a 500 one, but boy was I wrong. Worst decision ever.I will personally never buy JBL products ever again.Sound quality-4/5Bass-4/5Value for money-1/5

Fares better than other comparable earphones
First of all, about Amazon service, I got it from the seller Appario Retail and have absolutely no complaints there.About the product, to say it’s good or bad is highly subjective as different people will have varying definitions of what a good and bad earphones imply; so, I will try to make it more objective by giving comparisons. I have been using Boat Bassheads 225 for the last 2 years and JBL C200SI for 6 months now. Also, I’ve had the chance of using Sony XB55AP for a few days. So, I’ll be comparing these three with the JBL T290, which I’ve been using for the last 2 months. So here goes-1. Sound quality: Needless to say, the Sony XB55AP and JBL T290 both have an edge over the other two which belong to a lower segment of earphones. The Boat Bassheads 225 is just loud and maybe good for listening to metal and EDM, but fails to impress when listening music of any other genre as clarity is not so good, although it is not bad for its price and if someone is just looking an earphones for casual use, it will work out pretty well. The JBL C200SI has very crisp sound quality and clarity is quite decent and given that it is not too expensive as compared to the Boat, it could easily make for a great buy. The JBL T290 is slightly better although I must admit it is not a significant improvement over the JBL C200SI. The Sony XB55AP being the most premium of the lot, easily takes the cake here with the best sound clarity.2. Bass: Bass in Boat Bassheads 225 is more often than not overpowered by the treble and what remains is just loudness which can be annoying at times as it feels that the sound is resonating in the ear. JBL C200SI is very primitive as far as bass is concerned, despite its official description of ‘Super Deep Bass Earphones’. There is absolutely nothing super deep bass about the CS200SI, but its excellent clarity does make up for it. There is significant jump from JBL C200SI to JBL T290 in terms of bass although I wouldn’t say it completely blows the mind and isn’t really a ‘pure bass earphone’ as it is marketed. I had used its earlier version JBL T150a and I was expecting the T290 to have at least similar bass if not better, but it didn’t really match up to its predecessor. The Sony XB55AP is the clear winner here. It completely outclasses the other three and completely justifies its Extra-bass tag. In fact, I am yet to come across a pair of earphones that provides better bass.3. Comfort: The JBL C200SI has to be the winner here. You put it in your ears and forget it, for as long as you want and you won’t even remember its there. JBL T290 can feel a little uncomfortable sometimes and doesn’t fit very snugly in the ear like the JBL C200SI. The Boat Bassheads 225 feels even more out of place in the ear. The Sony XB55AP is completely horrible in terms of comfort. It’s almost like it is not made for human ears. You can hardly tolerate these earphones in your ears for more than 5-7 minutes, it just hurts too much. For all its merit in terms of clarity and bass, I had to return it just a few days after I received it. Unless you have super huge ears, these are not going to be of much use. Another point to note here is that both Boat Bassheads 225 and JBL T290 having metal bodies give a little tinge when you wear them as they get cold when kept aside for some time.4. Tangle-free: The JBL C200SI is no comparison here as it is the only one out of the lot to have round cables, resulting in it getting tangled every chance it gets. The JBL T290, though having flat cables and claiming to be tangle-free is not so very much. It does get tangled sometimes but not as much as round wired earphones. I guess this is because the flat cables are actually a tad bit narrower than the usual. The Sony XB55AP is better in this regard, but the Boat Bassheads 225 shines here. I have never once felt the need to untangle it in the last 2 years of my usage.5. Gyming/Running: Although wired earphones are not exactly made to be used during physical exercise and workout sessions, if asked my choice would be JBL C200SI as it just sits in your ear like there’s a magnet. The JBL T290 and the Boat Bassheads 225 are at par here as they both sit not so comfortably in the ear and have a tendency of keep falling off every now and then. Even while using them when sitting still, there is a feeling that they might fall off anytime. The Sony XB55AP is just terrible here. It will probably fall off if you jump once.6. Calls/Meetings: There isn’t much difference between the JBL C200SI, JBL T290 and the Sony XB55AP (the AP model is the one with mic in Sony earphones) here. They all pretty much do a decent job. However, the Boat Bassheads 225 is the black sheep here and are most definitely not suited for long calls and meetings due to the annoying resonating like noise because of the unnecessary loudness.7. Design/Looks: The JBL T290 is hands down the best in this segment with minimalist finish and a metal body, which gives it a premium look. The curvy design of the Boat Bassheads 225 might be liking to some people’s taste, but the metal body again gives it a premium feel. The JBL C200SI with is roundy looks and plastic body might not be the most dashing but its comfortable to wear design more than makes up for it. The Sony XB55AP, with its earbuds protruding out of its body at an unnatural angle has the most hideous design. It is because of this tilt of the buds from the main body that hurts the tragus of the outer ear making it unbearable to wear for even short durations.8. Durability: I have been using the Boat Bassheads 225 for over 2 years now and there is still no sign of wear. The build is so good it just feels like it was delivered yesterday. In comparison, the JBL C200SI looks rather flimsy, although I haven’t had the chance to use it as much as the Boat ones. Previous experience with JBL is not so impressive as my JBL T150a’s wire got partially detached from the buttons control panel and occasionally the sound would die out in the left earbud, although this was after extreme rough use of 3 years, so I wouldn’t fuss much over it. Both the JBL T290 and the Sony XB55AP having premium build shouldn’t have wear issues, at least for a couple of years anyway. But for this segment, for its price the Boat Bassheads 225 is a clear winner.9. Price: I feel the Sony XB55AP and the JBL C200SI are quite appropriately priced at around Rs.2200 and Rs.850 respectively. The JBL T290 feels a little overpriced at about Rs.1600 for what it offers. But at just Rs.600, Boat Bassheads 225 is a no-brainer for most people and is unarguably the most popular earphones today with north of 100k reviews on Amazon while still having a rating of 4.1. For comparison, the first Harry Potter book has been reviewed 30k times.VERDICTFor me, bass and clarity can be compromised to a notch lower in favour for better fit and comfortable wear, but I won’t mind to spend a little more if sound quality being offered is significantly superior with not much difference in comfort. So, my choice would be in the following order-JBL T290 > JBL C200SI > Boat Bassheads 225 > Sony XB55AP

Pretty Happy!
After using T110 for long, I wanted to upgrade to a better JBL and T290 seemed just the right option. It has a much better built quality and premium feel to it. Was very happy with this. The bass listening experience is not justified with the pure bass name the brand claims. Rather has an holistic music experience with crystal clear notes. Doesn't mean the bass is bad, just that it doesn't deliver to its name. But I am 100% happy with the purchase and I'd recommend JBL 290T to anyone looking to upgrade for a rich listening experience.

JBL is always the best!!!
It's really an awesome product from JBL and at an affordable price. Earlier I had J22a which I had purchased from US which is around 3500 bucks in Indian money value. This product is equivalent to it and you can enhance the output by using JetAudio player through which it gives an blasting hearing experience. If you are a bass lover you can go for it without any third thoughts.
