Used to deter squirrels from feeders
It's been 6 days now and the jury is still out. Seemed highly effective the first 3 days, cutting the squirrel population at the feeders from about 25 to just 4 now. BUT- it does seem that the last few sqirrels are building a tolerance to the heat of the pepper. Don't know if that's possible and I will try the next highest level of hot pepper next time I order. It could be I just need to coat the feeders as well as the seed, and I have tried that this morning. All in all, I can see I have definitely used less seed than prior weeks, and the birds are eating all day long, unbothered by squirrels and the hot pepper powder. It's definately worth trying if you have a squirrel problem at your feeders. **Update at 13 days. I started to coat the seeds with olive oil before adding the red pepper powder. So far, resistant-squirrels watching from a distance. The seeds are much redder and more thoroughly coated using this method and birds still not bothered by it. I'm still tweaking the hot pepper delivery on the suet cake. I covered it with olive oil and packed a thick coating of the hot pepper powder on all 6 sides. So far no birds are interested. Will wait and see if this works by end of day. **Update 9/4/22 Finally got the ratio of hot pepper perfected. After thoroughly coating the black oil seed with oil and red pepper, the seeds are very dark red. Two squirrels occassionally try to ea t but then run around at top speed over to the water bowl on the bird bath or else they dig in the dirt and rub their faces back and forth in the ground, and most importantly, move on for the remainder of the day. I have also mixed a hefty amount into the wild bird seed without the oil and that's working as well. I've switched the suet cake to the hot pepper type so I don't have to treat that with hot pepper. All in all, I'm pleased with the progress and this is working out very well. I've ordered 3 more containers of this pepper today and will continue with this program. Takes time to train the squirrels but they have finally gotten with my system.

it's hot at least it is hot for this Midwest white guy boiled fish eater.
good value of heat per cent. this is too much heat for pail white folks from cultures where a touch of butter and pinch of salt is a lot of flavor on your boiled fish. a little goes a long way and there is a lot of it here this might be a lifetime supply of red pepper for this boiled fish eater, but it was good in small quantities for my Cajun inspired fish rub for fried blue gill.

Taste and spice
Idk about the one star people, I do get where it tastes like something else, for me it was cause the spice didn’t hit right away. I absolutely think “everything” needs to be spicy, I love getting to the bottom of the crushed red peppers for the powder. I only received my container today but used it twice already and well trying it alone, it wasn’t the that red pepper taste right away, but adding it to the food, perfect! For what I used it on. Heat spice, it’s there, but enjoyable and not overwhelming to where you can’t enjoy your food. Then again, everyone has their preference and for those saying it’s too spicy, well, you were looking for a spicy product, it’s a shame this one gets one star here and there for being too spicy. State the obvious people. Go with buffalo sauce if you’re sensitive to a lower spice people naturally use on pizza.
