It is excellent for quilters
I like to use patterns and quilt blocks but this author does not have them ready for the quilts in this book.

Nice "bucket list" quilts
First off, I do like the book, however, I consider most of the quilts to be very labor intensive and therefore, more like bucket list ... "maybe someday" quilts. There are a couple quilts that I'd consider doable for a confident beginner but most are more in the expert category because of all the little pieces that you have to match up.The first 34 of the 128 pages are antique quilts. Many of those have been used as a springboard for the quilt designs in the book. Most of the quilts are around lap quilt size except for a couple like "Mountain Top" (79 3/8" x 94 1/4") and "9-1-1" (80.25" x 90.5"). "9-1-1-" and "Hawaiian Delight" (60.5" square) include paper piecing. All needed templates for a quilt follow immediately after the pattern. Four of the quilts include applique and yes, Adyta's signature little bird makes an appearance. As the name of the book implies, All the quilts include many different fabrics to give them a (controlled) scrappy appearance. Many of the patterns call for fat eighth cuts of fabric. If I was offered do-overs, would I buy the book again? Probably. I'll admit to being an Adyta fan and the book really does include some very nice quilts even though I'm not currently looking for a long-term quilting commitment. (In the book there is actually one simple/fast pattern "Free Spirit" that I've been wanting to make ever since Adyta released her Pumpkin Pie fabric line back in 2016 or 2017. It is made from large and small half-square triangles.)If you are looking for a long commitment quilt or you just like to look at those kinds of quilts and (drool ) dream, this is the book for you.

Patches of Scraps
This is a beautiful book! So well produced with great patterns! It has been set out near my chair, to continue to browse through it, trying to decide which pattern to tackle first. Out of the 17 patterns, there are probably 14 that are all calling to me :) You won't be disappointed in this book!

Use those left overs.
This book is great if you have more “leftover” fabric than you know what to do with!

Clear instructions.
Quilt ideas. So many beautiful quilts. I hope to make my favorite. The directions are very good, but these are labor intensive types of quilts. I always like those because I like spending time with the fabric. It is my little escape "me" time.

Muy bien explicado. El libro es bastante completo, eso sí tienes que tener unas minimas nociones.
