I think of a watering can as a dark gray. This is almost black. It's still a nice color for when you don't want a black black for your sentiments.

I get a clear image every time! Love the color it is truly a watering can gray.

This is a great ink pad for art using stamps, as well as other methods of use.

I bought this to use for no line water coloring with stamps (stamp off once, then stamp to get a very faint impression). Its a much nicer alternative to dark black lines if you want a more subtle effect. It is water proof so it won't react with water if you are coloring in an image stamped with this ink using any dye based inks (water based).

I found the Watering Can grey to be darker than the case cover, however its still perfect when you don't want the harsh black lines. I love the Ranger Archival Inks and will slowly continue to build up my color collection.
