I did the whole attic per instructions under the roof deck. I did help cooling he attic down by 15 - 20 degree on hot days. That is all I needed and it resolved our AC issues by lowering the load.

I think the transparency of the foil is a most important parameter of this product after it's high strength. I have put this foil on a window on a sunny day just for a test. I was able to see light is making thru and this is not because of the vapor barrier halls.
