⚠ WASH BEFORE USE ⚠✔ Washing your turkish towel before use will ensure their softness and improve absorbency.✔You can also soak your towel in cool water overnight. This really helps your towel become more absorbent.① What is Peshtemal / Turkish Towel?✔ Turkish Towels are made from Turkish Cotton, a premium cotton that has extra long fibers. Using longer fiber cotton means fewer joins, which results in stronger and smoother cotton threads. Because of this unique material, Turkish towels are known to become even softer, fluffier and more absorbent with successive washings.② How are Turkish Towels different from "regular" towels?✔ The biggest difference is the type of weave. A Turkish towel is a flat weave where a "regular" towel is a terry cloth (loop weave). The flat weave allows the towel to be compact, super absorbent and fast drying. Exclusive District Towels are 100% Turkish Cotton which get softer and more absorbent over time vs. a terry cloth towel that can get stiff and scratchy with prolonged use.③ Are they traditional?✔ The history of the peshtemal is closely tied to the history of Hamams. The first Turkish Hamams, or public baths, were built in the 14th century, drawing on inspiration from Roman baths.✔ The peshtemal became more culturally significant in the 17th century. In the Ottoman palace, the royal women and courtiers wanted peshtemals that were increasingly beautiful and ornate. They hired weavers to design beautifully decorated peshtemals. These peshtemals were hand-woven from cotton on a loom.✔ Over the 17th century and afterwards, peshtemals were made in a wide range of styles and designs. They grew beyond their origins as a towel for the Turkish baths became an item of both fashion and utility.

They actually absorb!
So many cotton towels are treated, nowadays, so they don't absorb. What's the point of a towel that doesn't absorb? These are also soft, and dry in no time. And they look nice too!

Great customer service and product!
I read a good review of the Exclusive District towel on another forum which lauded its versatility (shawl, picnic blanket, towel, etc.) and portability. I can attest that this is all true--the towel is revolutionizing my world. It is lightweight enough that my backpack doesn't turn me into a turtle when I just want to carry a towel to go to the gym after work, but still dries me off just fine. I like that it isn't too heavy either--it's not a burden if I want to wrap it around my hair.I would also like to add that the seller is amazing and has provided the best customer service I've received on Amazon. They are not kidding about the customer satisfaction guarantee! I had a problem with my first order, and the seller reached out to rectify the problem quickly and followed up to make sure I was happy with the solution. Thank you so much to Exclusive District!

beautiful towel
I bought this towel because I was reading a post on a facebook travel group, and a few people mentioned that they use turkish towels instead of the typical microfiber travel towels and i thought it might be good for me too as i travel a whole lot. the reviews are good and i liked the idea of a larger towel that i can use for sitting on at the beach etc. as soon as i got it i threw it in the washer and dryer and omg it's sooo soft now! the quality seems really nice too. i will update my review once i travel with it a bit and give it some use! i also bought a second one for one of my travel buddies as we both had a lovely trip to Turkey together recently :)

Love This Towel Will be Reordering More
I had never heard about these towels before and stumbled onto them through an unrelated youtube video about RVing. These are absolutely the best towels I've ever had. I just wish they were a tiny bit cheaper but that is my only complaint. Very large size, lightweight to take anywhere, very absorbent and I have long hair! They dry so fast and can be used for many other things like coverup, lightweight blanket the uses are many besides just a towel. Makes the drying of guest towels for our hot tub not so much of a chore anymore. I'm going to get more of these for sure. I usually don't review items unless I'm thrilled so I'm reviewing this one.

They seem thin but work great!
I love the thin cotton or linen towels! Bought several for vacation house near beach and am planning to buy more for primary residence. They’re absorbent, easy to handle, dry quickly and take up much less room in linen closet. I’ve always used thickest terry towels I could find for the bath— I’m now a convert to this type of towel. I’ve always loved linen kitchen towels and always kept a few for drying my hair ( seemed to dry faster and leave hair shinier—reason unknown!) Never considered anything similar for bath towels.

Huge Pashminas
These are basically huge scarves. If you are looking for a towel, this is not a towel. I have been adjusting to them. I definitely love the size and the ability to dry quickly. Very compact to pack and can washed easily. I hang dry mine.
