Canning Tools (2-Cup Measuring Scoop)

Everything I needed to get started with water bath canning. The canning funnel fits perfectly into my standard-mouthed Ball jars. The lifter gets about as good as a grip as you can expect on wet glass. Felt a little silly using the magnetic lid lifter but it does work well. The brush seemed gratuitous at first but it does reduce jar washing to a 5-10 second job easy. The scoop is a scoop - personally hasn't helped me with canning but it is a nice sturdy scoop I've found other uses for. All-around a nice, well-made set of tools for a very fair price.

My tongs that I inherited from my Mom's kitchen finally fell apart, literally, after 30-something years. I bought these after trying some unsuitable replacements. These are GREAT, I would buy them again if I ever needed another pair. Thanks for a product well made!

I love this style of tongs. My old ones wore out after a few decades so I got this one which is just like it, but new. They are sturdy and hold up and nothing picks up a piece of bacon in the pan like these do.

I use these pieces for canning. I did not figure out the purpose of the purpose of the points on the end of the air bubble tool. I didn't realize it until later on! But other than that the entire kid was very useful in my canning process. It was easy to grab the jars out of the hot water and place them back in with the tongues. It does take a bit of strength to grip it but the are very useful. Don't do canning without them! And my jars were extremely heavy, I made pear sauce with about 10 lb of pears that I got from my uncle. This help to get the air bubbles out of them they did pop and suction the leads in as expected. So I believe these tools just helped the process to go much faster and much smoother.

I like that this one tool takes the bubbles out of the jar and the magnetic end pick ups the lids without burning your fingers.

I'm glad I didn't give up looking for a two-cup scoop! This one is super sturdy and works well for my girls when they feed the dogs. Works perfectly.

I juice weekly and this works great with cleaning my mason jars.
