This Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact has surprised me in a few ways. First is the price. I haven't seen another major brand air purifier as reasonably priced as this unit. Second is how quiet it is. I have always rejected the idea of an air cleaner/purifier because of the noise. Well, this has NO noise, seriously in automatic mode, this unit is quieter than the quietest whisper. I am one of those people who needs complete quiet and darkness to sleep. This unit, well, you can't even hear it until you put your head by it when it's in automatic mode. And the touch screen can be completely turned off (no light!). I had an issue with a dead thing in a part of my attic that could not be reached, which the exterminator guy said was most likely the reason it couldn't escape and expired. Well, air purifier to the rescue. In a few hours' time, the odor was gone. I felt that the air was then clean of whatever bacteria was floating around with the odor. This is easy to use. It immediately paired with my home wi-fi. There aren't many instructions, because it is so easy to use. It's nice looking, not a utilitarian vibe. It is really sturdy and heavier than it looks, which for me, shows the quality of the build. I don't have experience with air purifiers, so I don't know how this compares in size with others, but it's sturdily made. Feels like good quality and being from Xiaomi, I'm sure it will last for many years. I can highly recommend this to everyone.

Around 6¾ inches tall, it occupies a bit under half the purifier interior space. A filter replacement indicator on the top should light up as a reminder to replace the filter. Final Thoughts: Compact and portable, this purifier is easy to set up in one room or move from room to room as needed. Although this is a small HEPA filter, the fact that it allows 360° airflow increases the filtration surface area. Placing it in a location that allows air intake on all sides will maximize its effectiveness. I don’t like to download many apps to control devices and did not do so with this filter. The additional functionality provided by the app may enhance manual mode operation, but I prefer to let the purifier operate in auto mode. My specific use for this purifier is living room air filtration. It seems to perform well in that setting and should work equally as well in a living room or an office. If I were using it in a kitchen to remove cooking odors, I would probably place it close to the area that requires air purification. Overall, this is a nice, compact air purifier that is both functional and simple to use.

Pros: this air purifier is small but mighty. I have terrible allergies so it was recommended that I try an air purifier in several rooms. As a vine reviewer I have tried several and I must say that I have this little beast working to purify my entire basement and it works incredibly well! My cat’s litter box is down there and even that smell is diminished unless you are right next to it! The sound is minimal and I have not just a cat but a Samoyed who has a double coat so there is hair everywhere right now. The dust and even the hair has greatly lessened. It is easy to set up, basically a plug and play. I am impressed. Cons: haven’t found any yet and it has been running for a month. Conclusion: a very nice compact air purifier that works like a beast

This air purifier is very nice. The white color color looks great and the smart feature is more than a gimmick. While only using the onboard display the controls are simple, auto, manual, and sleep mode, plus a button to toggle the light, low, medium, then off. On the app though there's a lot more controls available. You do have to download the app and sign in, you can create one or use your existing Gmail or Facebook account. Once in, you can manually choose the air purifier's speed, or change the model, learn of the filters life, develop a schedule, and loads of other useful information. My favorite feature is it tells you the current air quality to your room. On auto mode it'll even shut off if it detects that your air quality is already excellent. Overall this air purifier combines great quality paired with convenience through the app. So far so good and I highly recommend it.
