Great at first..
At first I loved it but over time, the handle keeps separating from the shoe horn portion. We have tried everything to get it to stay on - glue, bending it, etc. I did like the flexible head, which meant less bending over for my dad. My dad is a heavyset man and over time the shoe horn portion kept flattening out as well (We could live with that) but the two parts separating drove us nuts. To the point of having to buy one that is a solid piece.

Shoe horn
Poor quality and construction, broke after about a year. Do not recommend.

Excellent quality!
Just exactly what I wanted. 24" is the perfect length. I own another just like it that I keep in the mud room.Highly recommend!

Highly recommend this product.
Good length and solidly built. The spring adds a great flexibility to ease use. My favorite feature is the solid handle seems so much sturdier than others that offer an expandable/collapsible approach - I love the solid approach. I highly recommend this product.

Shoe horn with a spring
Because of severe arthritis I've needed a long-handle shoe horn to put on shoes for a long time. I've used a plastic one for years but it was damaged and could not be repaired.Unfortunately there is nothing in the description of this product to indicate a spring is used between the handle and the flattened part which fits between heel and the back of your shoe. For some it may be desirable, for me it is not. The spring has enough give that it allows the back of the shoe to pull forward as I slide my foot into my shoe making it difficult to actually get my foot into the shoe. I would prefer a solid shoe horn.On the plus side, the shoe horn appears durable and is made of a polished metal which should last longer than plastic.

Flexibile & Sturdy
I have used a plastic one in the past, three times, all broke. Plastic is NOT the way to go. This one has a metal shoe horn, with length and flexibility. I am concerned as how the flexible joint might hold up over time, but what the heck, I just got it and it works. I think the best bet, to insure almost for life, is to purchase one that is made entirely of metal. There is a caveat here though, as if thin metal is use, it would be prone for bending. The flexing of this unit helps to relieve that type of stress.

Quality Construction, but Too Short
This is a quality made shoe horn. The golf-style grip allows for a secure grip, and the handle and horn are made of quality metal. The horn is spring loaded, and can be a little tricky to use at first, but works well once you get comfortable with it. I think this tool would be better, however, with a longer handle. Another 3-4 inches would make it less awkward to use, as you wouldn't have to depend as much on your flexibility and balance to reach your shoe. Still, a decent product.

Flexible and great
So far so good, I went for this one due to his flexibility since kids will be using this too. Apparently I had to show my kids how to use this as they have never seen one before!Very handy and pleased with the purchase.

Appeared rugged but quite quickly the actual shoe horn end ...
Appeared rugged but quite quickly the actual shoe horn end buckled, Bent it roughly to shape and with care can still use but would not suggest anyone buying it. Pity because the handle and shaft were strong. It was the bit of 'tin' at the end.

easily attached back on and it still makes putting shoes ...
Does what it says but the flexible head comes off almost every time you use it, easily attached back on and it still makes putting shoes on nice and easy but I would advise looking at buying another product rather than this one. I will keep it for now but I know I will tire of having to reattach the flexible head all the time.

Long Horn!
Excellent item and absolutely essential for us older folk. Would recommend an addition of a lackey to hold one still while using this item.
