The Savvy Senior: The Ultimate Guide to Health, Family, and Finances for Senior Citizens

This book covers a lot of subjects that are important to seniors, those who are taking care of seniors, and those who will soon be seniors.I have just started reading this book and I'm finding it quite helpful. My concern is that it is the kind of book with information that will need to be updated on a regular basis. For example, the prices listed for funeral-related items and services are now much, much higher I'm sure.I recommend this book, but I will be looking forward to an updated edition of it.

I got into reading the book over the Christmas holiday. It has the usual retirement information. I figure one good idea is worth the price of the book. I'm still looking. I'm about to retire and I've been reading everything, so the books are starting to look more and more alike in content. It is good but not extraordinary.

I have found a couple of good ideas in the book, but most of it was a rehash of what I have read on the subject. The book was in very good condition as stated in the post.

My only issue was this is an old book and some of the items mentioned don't exist anymore. I hope they will make a more modern version of this book.

This book needs updating. I bought it on the strength of the author's interviews with a local news anchor, expecting that it would be as current and informative as those interviews. The book didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know, and was too generalized to be of any real help. Jim Miller is a savvy resource on TV. I wish I could say the same for his book.

Very detailed and informative to those reaching their Senior years. Easy read.

This gives a lot of suggestions for working your way through the world of healthcare, government rulings, suggestions for making your life an easier path. I also suggest his website. He keeps one current on laws, insurance, Social Security, Medicare, retirement and a lot of other things very important to living in today's world.
