Fantastic results with lightweight and low heat styler
This is for the coiled - curly version. For curly hair this is the way. I would argue that the hardest part of using this is figuring out at when your hair is 80 percent dry. Then again maybe it's finding the perfect settings for your hair type, but that's kind of the point, you can dial it in to get the results that work best for you and save the settings to make doing it again much easier. The attachments are excellent and are easy to use. The tension comb works wonders at drying and smoothing. the diffuser is more like an enhancer of your own natural curls and speeds up the time it takes by at least half. The round volumizer brush is fantastic at creating a soft, bouncy blowout. Which tools work best for each person and style will vary but they all do what they are supposed to do very well. The difference in airspeed is really noticeable in how much faster curling takes compared to the previous version and they last longer compared to a standard curling iron. The lower heat is so much better for your hair and more comfortable to work with too. Your hair feels incredibly smooth after styling which is a confidence booster as well. Of course for the best results you need to use some amount of trial and error to dial in your settings and get everything tailored to your own hair type. I really like the low weight and general ease of getting to the best settings for your hair with the least damage possible. I've tried to avoid statements like salon quality or straight out of the salon but they really do apply once you get some practice and have everything dialed in. The kit is no doubt expensive but it has quality results to match.

Amazing High Quality Hair Dryer
TLDR Version: ✅ Great quality ✅ Durable and well made ✅ Dries super quickly, even for thick hair ✅ Beautiful appearance ✅ Helps a lot with frizz control ❌ Everything doesn't fit in the case ❌ The power box is a bit bulky Full Review: This hairdryer is really amazing. When I first saw these, I questioned if the quality matches the price. My biggest question was, does the value for what you get hold up to the cost? I was super excited to have the opportunity to try this product and I'm left feeling very impressed. First, the presentation is impressive. This comes beautifully packaged and was easy to open and set up. The instructions were clear and easy to use and follow. The companion app was easy to download and the product was simple to register. I know one of the previous low reviews was concerned with authenticity, but my product was perfect. I was able to easily register the serial number and it connected to the My Dyson App seamlessly. The app is pretty easy to use, and I like that it can set the settings for you depending on your hair type. The learning curve for this hair tool is a little steeper than your average low-end tool, but once you learn how to use it well, this is the best hair tool I've ever used! I'm still learning, and I'm not quite where I want to be with it, but I'm getting better each time I use it. The quality of this hair tool is amazing. I was really surprised by the durability and quality. The power box is a bit large and bulky, and it does seem to get in the way a bit, but you get the hang of it. If they could either change how heavy that is or maybe make the cord longer to compensate for the power box, it would make it a bit more convenient to use. Other than that, it's pretty easy to use. The attachments go on easily and the instructions are clear on how to use them. The attachments all work very well with what they are supposed to do. My favorite ones are the curling barrel and the round brush. Both of those worked very well for my hair preferences and they worked very quickly. I love that this comes with a little storage case. The only issue I found was that the wave / curl diffuser was so large that it wouldn't fit in the storage case. I feel like they should have offered a different (slightly larger) case that would fit all of the accessories, but it does fit everything else. I like being able to store it all easily and that it keeps it dust free. The app also keeps up on how your product is functioning and I love that it tells you when you need to clean the internal filter. The way the hair tool "talks" to the app is really amazing. Overall, I'm pretty dang impressed by this product. The couple small things I wish were different (the overencumbered power box and the fact that all of the accessories don't fit inside the case) weren't enough for me to knock off an entire star for such an impressive piece of machinery. I really do love how this works and I can't wait to continue learning about how to use this product! My hair already looks amazing and as I get better and better at using this, I know it will just keep getting more amazing! I would definitely recommend this product!

A little pricey but a good product
I’ll be honest: the Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x Multi-Styler and Dryer is a serious investment, and it took me a little while to decide if it was worth the price. After using it regularly for a few weeks, I can say it’s impressive—but it’s also not the instant, no‑mess miracle some ads make it out to be. First, the good stuff. The thing that stands out right away is how fast it dries my hair. The airflow feels strong but not harsh, and I can go from very wet to almost completely dry in a fraction of the time it used to take with my old dryer. The new Hyperdymium 2 motor is clearly more powerful than the older Airwrap version, and the attachments lock into place so smoothly that it’s easy to swap between the drying nozzle, smoothing brush, round brush, and curling barrels without fumbling. Compared to using a flat iron and curling wand, this definitely feels gentler on my hair, and I’ve noticed less frizz and fewer flyaways, especially around the crown and ends. Styling with the Co-anda2x takes a bit of practice, but once you get the rhythm down, it’s really satisfying. The smoothing and round‑brush attachments give me that straight, polished “blowout” look without the usual heat stress of a flat iron. The curling barrels are a bit finicky at first, and the curls don’t always hold as long as I’d like if I’m not careful with section size and heat settings, but experimenting with the dryer versus damp hair and different temperature levels helped me get more consistent waves. The new AirSmooth 2x attachment is a surprise highlight—it’s like a mini air‑straightener that’s great for smoothing bangs, cowlicks, and short layers quickly without any direct heat contact. The design feels nice in hand, too—it’s lightweight, the buttons are easy to reach (temperature, airflow, and cool‑shot are all on the tool itself), and the attachments store neatly in the case, which helps keep everything organized. The only minor annoyances are the heavier power cord and the fact that the machine shuts itself off after cooling down instead of just having a simple off button, which can be a little awkward when you’re in the middle of styling and it powers down on its own. If I had to sum it up, the Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x is a high‑end, high‑performance styling tool that works really well if you’re willing to spend the money and put in a little time to learn it. It’s gentler on hair than most hot tools, dries fast, and offers multiple attachments so you can do a full blowout, waves, and smoothing routines in one device. Would I recommend it to everyone? No—this is definitely overkill if you just need a simple dryer. But if you care about salon‑quality styles at home and don’t mind the price, it’s a strong, well‑made choice that I’m glad I picked.

Bad smell
I returned this hair dryer because the smell was so bad. It seems like the smell was from the attachments. I tried to run it several times for a while but the smell wouldn’t come out. It was unbearable for me because the smell was in my hair. It was almost like the smell of burnt rubber. For reference I have the Dyson Airstrait and the original Dyson hair dryer with attachments and never had this problem with the smell.

High end styling tool that delivers, but only if you use it right
The Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x is one of those products that clearly separates itself from standard hair tools, but it is not a plug and play experience. Once you understand how to use it properly, the performance is genuinely impressive. Quality Everything about this feels premium. The build, attachments, and overall design are exactly what you would expect at this price point. Nothing feels loose or cheaply made. The attachments lock in securely and swap out easily, which matters since this is a multi-styler system. Drying Speed Drying speed is strong, but not in the traditional “blast it with heat” way. It is efficient without feeling overly aggressive. You will not get the same raw heat as a typical dryer, but it compensates with controlled airflow that still gets the job done relatively quickly while being less harsh on hair. Frizz Control This is where it really stands out. The airflow technology smooths hair noticeably better than standard tools. With the smoothing and brush attachments, you can get a clean, polished finish without that frizzy or overly dry look. It is especially effective in humid environments where frizz is usually hard to control. Ease of Use There is a learning curve. If you expect it to work like a normal curling iron or dryer, you will be frustrated at first. Once you understand how the airflow wraps and shapes hair, it becomes much easier. After a few uses, it feels intuitive, but the first couple of sessions require patience. Hair Length Compatibility This works best on medium to longer hair lengths. Short hair can still benefit from some attachments, but you will not get the full value of the system unless there is enough length for the wrapping and styling features to really work. Versatility This is one of its biggest advantages. You are essentially getting a dryer, curling tool, smoothing brush, volumizer, and more in one device. Switching between styles is quick, and the attachments actually perform differently enough to justify their inclusion. Value for Money This is where opinions split. It is expensive, no way around that. If you only need a basic dryer or styling tool, this is overkill. But if you regularly style your hair and want a single tool that can replace multiple devices while being gentler on hair, the value starts to make sense. Downsides The main drawbacks are the price and the learning curve. Also, styling results depend heavily on technique. If you do not take the time to learn how to use it properly, it can feel underwhelming compared to the cost. Final Verdict This is a high performance styling system that rewards effort. It is not the simplest tool, but once you get comfortable with it, it delivers strong results in drying, smoothing, and styling while helping control frizz. Best suited for someone who styles their hair regularly and wants a more refined, all in one solution.

Great Dyson product! Delivers amazing styles, quickly!
I have been wanting to order a Dyson blow dryer and styler for a while now and this Dyson Airwrap Co-anda 2x delivered the convenience of both products. I ordered the styler for curly hair as that is my hair type but I appreciate the included hair tools to do straighter styles as well. My first impression of the Dyson straight from the box was in awe of how nice and luxurious it is! The case is beautiful and this is by far the prettiest blow dryer I have ever owned. Everything comes very securely wrapped as well. Very high quality product. Putting the attachments on and using the airwrap is very intuitive and easy. I also had no problems connecting it via serial number to the Dyson app. I have been testing this out and used several attachments since I’ve gotten it and have been impressed by all. I first tried it with just the regular blow dryer attachment, the 30% increased motor speed really blow dries your hair well and quickly! The next time I used it, I used the paddle attachment and was blown away at how quickly it blow dried my hair and also how well it straightened my hair and left it super shiny and healthy looking! I have curly hair and the diffuser is the first I’ve used that does not pull my hair or hurt while using. I also tried the curling wand on dry hair so I didn’t expect great results. The curling went quickly, I actually had amazing curls that looked super pretty combed out. Not only does it leave my hair looking great but this dryer takes 10 minutes or less every time I use it. This thing gets HOT so I’m not even using the highest heat setting. Incredibly impressive with the amount of curly hair I have. Previously I have taken 30+ minutes with some blow dryers to diffuse my curls and have still had wet hair and sore arms. If you have been on the fence about ordering this Dyson product, I can 100% recommend it!

Best Hair Tool
My wife loves her Dyson Airwrap Co-anda2x. Her last hair dryer broke recently at the same time I was able to pick this one up. I made her give me feedback so I could write this. This is the best hairdryer that she has had. It dries her hair faster than her old one, but it’s still gentle and doesn’t make her curls frizzy. The new diffuser works amazingly well and it gives nice, defined curls with almost no effort. Styling is so much easier now. It’s also quieter than she expected for how powerful it is.

Good Quality Multi-Tool for Hair Styling, Decent Upgrades from Previous Version
The Airwrap comes in what looks like an odd-shaped hat box. It is sturdy and fits everything, but the diffuser. There is a QR code to download the Dyson application, which has some helpful videos for getting started. I have a previous version of the Airwrap. The handle of this device is smaller in diameter, but is similar in length. It is manageable even for users with smaller hands. The smaller diameter helps, and the surface finish of the handle is matte versus the glossy of the previous version, which helps with grip. The cord is long enough, but it does have a converter brick on it, which could be cumbersome in a tighter-spaced bathroom. I suggest watching the tutorial videos because some of the accessories are not necessarily obvious how they should work, especially the tension comb and curler. Of the accessories, I think the curling wand and the tension comb are the most effective and unique to the Airwrap. It was fun helping my daughter (8-year-old) curl her long hair with the Airwrap wand. I found that it works best with small sections of hair because if you pull too much, it doesn't wrap automatically. This does take longer, and my wife got impatient and started hand wrapping it, which made it more difficult to pull away and resulted in less of a curl. In comparison to other hair dryers, it is moderately loud. It has the Dyson high-pitched whine, but subdued relative to the vacuum cleaners. I have tried some hair dryers in a similar price range that are certainly quieter. It has a less plasticky feel, mainly in the handle, than the vacuum cleaners. It impressively gets up to temperature very quickly, within seconds of starting the flow. It does seem to regulate the temperature pretty well and doesn't overshoot like some curling irons. The previous version had a cool tip design that made changing out accessories easy. This newer version is similar except for the curling wand. The curling wand gets hotter than before, which seems to help with a better curl, but also makes it more difficult to switch out due to the heat. The accessories snap into place and automatically lock. You have to actively slide the unlock button to release the attachment. Overall, the Dyson Airwrap is well-made and works well. It has some uniquely designed attachments that can produce the same look without hitting the hair with too much heat. It is pricey, but it can also take the place of multiple tools. Relative to the previous version, the curl iron is more effective (produces more heat though) and the addition of Bluetooth connectivity allows for more effective use of the Dyson Application. This connectivity allows for a semi-guided temperature profile customized for the compatible tools. This version also has a removable filter for easier cleaning compared to the cleaner tool that was provided with the previous version.
