These are just like the ones at our local corner store, but without a bunch of people reaching their hands in instead of using the tongs! Not for everybody, but nostalgic for me.

Was a gift so im not sure I had no complaints from my son to take on a camping trip

Tastes like summer sausage, has a smokey flavor to the meat. The texture is that of a firm moist inside the casing when eaten not a dried texture nor is this beef stick snacks overly greasy feeling or tasting. I enjoyed these will get them again.

I really liked the taste and protein profile. My body felt the high sodium level of these. I found some steak strips with much lower sodium which is better for me.

I've tried Lorissa's, Jack Links, Chomps, Vermont and Paleovalley. Old Trapper beats them all. The price is good, they're moist and tender, fantastic flavor and the resealable bag works really well at keeping them sealed up. Going to try the Jalapeno flavor next. Perfect size too. Sometimes you don't want a 7 or 8 inch long beef stick. Although these are so delicious I always eat 2 at a sitting.

Super greasy…The mouth feel is just lard.It coats your mouth.The sticks have a nice snap when you bite into them, and the heat is just right, it’s just hot enough to coat your tongue if that makes sense.I just can’t get over the greasy coating … It’s like chewing off you made hamburgers, and the next day, when the fat in pan has congealed and turned white. Off you scooped the white stuff into your mouth…. I’d like that…Overall, I’m not a fan.

When you want that specific taste and texture with a little kick of jalapeño this is perfect! Also I like the smaller individual sizes for snacking
