The solution is needed to put drops into your tester. You need to keep it in its container until needed then put right back in. The needs to be put into the solution to test accurately. I will tell you that this machine is very accurate! I love it. Worth the money. Make sure you clean very well after every use and don't get the solution on your skin.

This tester uses chemicals that will permanently stain and discolor your jewelry. If you return the item they then charge a 50% restocking fee not disclosed anywhere. Do NOT buy this item or any item from this company.
