European E Code Glass Conversion Headlight Assembly Set FITS Volvo 240 244 86-93

Best upgrade I’ve done for my 240. I hooked these up before I moved from Death Valley to Alaska (escaped commiefornia) and my best friend and I were laughing for literally hours at how bright they were. I ended up having to hardwire them because the plugs didn’t match my 90 wagon but meh. The old Volvo wagon towed a 2500lbs trailer, ourselves, and however much shit we could cram in it 4K miles right. And these did the trick.

Not sure how this is even possible but Swedish Car Parts sent me two lights that did not match. The internals seems the same but the lenses were different. Unfortunately this was noticed, once the set was full installed on my 245 restoration project. Ugh so much work down the drain. Very frustrating.

Would have given 5/5 stars but, had to disassemble both headlight units to re-attach inner headlight assembly to the adjustment arms. One of the plastic clips to hold aforementioned assembly was already broke from get go. I had to be creative and melt and press into place. Shipping costs seem a bit inflated, but were expedited. With all that being said, I am very happy with the overall purchase. These fit my 92 Volvo 240 perfectly even came with light bulbs (replaced with leds). This comes with everything you need to install except for the two screws holding the chrome valance above the headlights, you have to use from stock units.

These are aftermarket headlamps. The look and fit is great and the light quality is a huge improvement over the US standard equipment. Unfortunately, the build quality isn't great. In the three years I've had these, the captive mounting bolts have broken loose from the housing (superglue fix), one of the chrome 'eyebrows' fell off (I haven't been able to find a replacement), and the inner reflector on one headlamp came loose (rendering it unusable). Not bad if you need e-codes on a budget but I’d recommend OEM units instead - they're about twice the money, but worth it.
