Good long-oval banettones with muslin-type liners for sourdough bakiing
These are very nice bannetons, measuring (interior) about 13” by 3” deep by. 5” wide at the widest point. The sides angle out a bit from an interior base width of about 2 3/4 “ to 5a’ at the top. They came with liners made of a fairly open weave natural colored muslin and a booklet with 3 simple recipes. They didn’t really specify the capacity, but I’m thinking they should hold something like 500- 700g of dough?. I like the shape - it makes for nice sandwich slices. . I usually don’t use liners with rattan bannetons. I like the imprint texture of the rings, but the liners often do a very good job of holding flour and preventing sticking. I bake sourdough about twice a week and these are a welcome addition to my baking gear.
