Happy with the quality. Very rich umami. Very fragrant compared to other I have tried including korean and japanese. 3rd time ordering. Prefer this brand's Donko version for its thickness (plump)

Fantastic tasting donko shiitake mushrooms from Japan! I use these mushrooms with kombu seaweed to make soup broth... I first lightly dust off the caps with a (barely) slightly damp towel and blow on them to remove dust/debris... Then I add them to a mixture of water & kombu... Boil... And push/dunk mushrooms into broth so that they become water saturated to sink into the broth. After the broth turns into a light brownish color, I then slice them to add to entrees. This brand is One of the best I've used. Its fresh tasting, meaty, & full of umami!

Ottimi funghi dal sapore intenso. Tra i tanti funghi disidratato che ho preparato questi sono i migliori. L'odore intenso una volta ammollati in acqua fredda si sente, per ovviare al problema ho messo la quantità necessaria in un vaso di vetro con coperchio e coperti di acqua li ho riposti in frigorifero come da istruzioni. Aggiunti ai ramen a pezzi e cotti hanno sprigionata un profumo e gusto unici.
