I use my Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 every single day, and it has been fantastic! My wife has been looking at off-brand smart watches for several years ago, but could never find one that had better than "meh" reviews. She finally decided it was worth the extra money to buy a Samsung watch so I got this one for her birthday. SHE LOVES IT! And tells me every day. It has been over a month since she received this watch, and she is still going on and on about it. The charge usually lasts at least two days, but easily more than a day per charge. She loves the features, the look, the feel of it on her wrist, the ease of use, the bright display (even in the daytime), the connectivity to her phone (the range is pretty decent), and has zero complaints so far. I would have gotten the ultra, but could not justify the extra cost -- the classic has everything she was looking for in an Android watch accessory.

Arrived as scheduled & just as pictured. Well protected & a definite update from my 4. Easy activation & looks good. Seamless integration with my phone. Using is easy. Overall very happy with purchase.

It's a fitness watch. What do you mean I have to engage measure continuously to get my health metrics tracked? This wouldn't be a big deal if Samsung would fix the atrocious battery life. Instead, they stuffed 64 gigs of internal memory in this thing, for some reason. And instead of fixing the battery life or adding a function that says "measure heart rate every 10 mins, even while in motion", they came up with genuinely the stupidest method for attaching watch straps I have ever seen. I figured out though that if you use wire cutters, you can cut the watch strap off, and then you can clamp through the spring bar inside, through the silicone. The silicone is too stiff to get a watch band removal tool in there, so using wire cutters is the easiest method. So, you're destroying the stock strap. Now, you can use a 22mm watch strap of your choosing, though, and you don't have to buy aftermarket adapters or ever take these adapters off for any reason. Why silicone to begin with?? It's stiff, heavy, doesn't breathe, uncomfortable. So far, the tracking has been wonky. It thought I fell asleep an hour and a half earlier than I actually did just because I was lying in bed watching TV, and instead of logging the 3 miles I ran, it logged 1.5 miles. It allowed me to edit the distance, but this stupid app thinks I ran the 3rd mile by running 20 mph. Sometimes doesn't track my sleep if the watch isn't sitting just perfectly in the right spot. Sometimes thinks I'm asleep just because I am sitting on the couch watching TV or playing video games. I'm convinced Samsung peaked at the watch 3 and have stopped caring since. They just need to push out a new model with the same frequency to compete with apple.

I've avoided the Samsung watch for quite a few years because of the battery issue and I didn't like the fitness app. I'm not as much into fitness anymore and as long as I remember to charge it while I shower or ride to work don't have to worry about the battery. Excellent watch in my opinion very classy really enjoying it so far after having a Fitbit for 20 years
