TOPENS AD8S Solar Dual Swing Gate Opener Heavy Duty

This is a five star rating based on very reliable and prompt customer service. The system itself works reliably 95% of the time. Occasionally, the keypad seems to malfunction and doesn’t allow all of the code to be entered. The user has to wait until it resets to punch the code which is a frustration when we are expecting a visitor or a package delivery. However, we are still very satisfied with the system and perhaps the key keypad is something that Topens will help me with and ultimately stand by. As an aside, we would like if the user manual had clearer more user-friendly,step by step troubleshooting instructions, along with detailed line art illustrations.

I ordered the double gate opener but due to busy schedule and holidays I did not open the box. More than a month later i opened it and tried to install but found that a piece was cracked and broken off. I contacted Amazon but due to the return window being expired I was told to contact Topens. Heidi from Topens was very helpful and told me she would send me a replacement. She went above and beyond and now I have a wonderful gate . Thanks again Heidi!

Installed 2 years ago no issue with this kit so far. Opening 4 to 6 times per day. Batteries staying charged living in the Northwest in winter months. installation was straight forward if you have good DIY skills. Had issues with WIFI remote system failing TC196 soon after warranty expired-1 year warranty. Bella at Topens will answer emails questions if needed.

I replaced an older gate opener with this unit. A question to product support prior to the purchase was answered promptly and with excellent advice. I already had an exit loop, keypad, radio remotes, solar panels, and batteries installed, so I really only needed the control board and the actuators. It came with solar panels, but I will use them elsewhere. I also didn't need the weatherproof box as I already had an enclosure. The installation instructions were very thorough and easy to read. The one installation/design issue I with they would change is the terminal blocks. The wires are inserted horizontally, and the screws to tighten the wires are on the bottom. If you use their existing box, I have no idea how you would get a screwdriver in there to tighten the wires. This wasn't a big deal for me as I removed the board and mounted it in a larger box. The wires should go on the bottom and the screws should be visible and accessible from the front. The system runs on 24 volts. My existing system was all wired for 12 volts and rather than change the 2 batteries to series from parallel, I picked up a 12v-24v 10A converter, and left all my existing wiring in place. I just needed to wire power, the exit loop, and the O/S/C (keypad, remote) to the board. The actuator are smooth and handle a pretty heavy gate easily. It takes about 18 seconds to open. The adjustments are well labelled and easy to use. Make sure you power down before adjusting (as it says in the manual) or the adjustments may not be recognized. It looks like the firmware checks all the settings at power up. So far (1 week in) I'm very pleased with the system.

I am very pleased with my new TOPENS AD8S Solar Gate Opener. The quality of this product is great and exceeded my expectations. I would definitely buy this product again for any additional projects.

This product is absolute crap. Topens replaced the broken control box with a broken control box

I had a great experience with Nancy from TOPEN's customer support. Nancy provided feedback that was incredibly clear and easy to understand technically, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The instructions were straightforward and helped resolve everything quickly. The customer is very happy with the outcome. The custom gate is opening and closing just as expected, and everything worked out perfectly. Thanks to Nancy's helpful support and excellent communication, this was definitely a five-star experience. Highly recommended!

The double gate opener is great. Opens my heavy rought iron gates. The customer service is quick to respond. Due to the layout of my driveway they helped me setup the gate that way 1 side would open outwards and the other side opens inwards Highly recommend it. I added multiple wireless remotes for the family, the wifi link and the driveway sensor Really happy with my purchase
