Can the dough be eaten raw?

We ordered these from a school raising money. I ate a chocolate chip cookie dough raw from the freezer. I was sick within 12 hours. Like they say, "No matter how many times you have done it previously, it is not safe to eat raw cookie dough.🤢🤮💩
