This is a wonderful study bible! Reading through the bible, I highly appreciate the detailed verse by verse commentaries of this bible. There are over 20,000 commentary notes in this study bible! They are very useful as reference for when I come across a passage that is hard to understand. The concordance is also very awesome and more detailed than most study bibles. The indexes of the charts and the maps are very comprehensive as well. Overall it's a very comprehensive bible that has a lot information for a serious student of the bible. Some of the positives I notice right aways are:1- Detailed notes and commentaries on the verses of the bible. It details the theology and practical application and the historical context of the passage.2-Beautiful maps.3-Numerous and comprehensive list of charts to help in study and comparison of passages.4-Beautiful Charts and Figures and Pictures interspace throughout the bible to bring the study alive. Some of the charts inlcudeThe Lord's Appointed Festivals, Stages in Israel's Journey, Character Traits in Proverbs, Timeline of Prophets, The Eight Visions of Zechariah, The Maccabean-Hasmonean Period, New Testament Chronology, The Twelve Apostles, Jewish Sects, Parables of Jesus,, Jesus' Resurrection Appearances, Who is the Restrainer, Sevens in Revelation, A Tale of Two Cities in Revelation, among others, all very edifying and clarifying.I recommend this to anyone who wants to study the bible in depth, whether beginner or a long time disciple of Jesus Christ. There is much to love and learn from this bible. God bless you!I also bought the imitatin leather version. Even though the comfort print supposed to be easier to read, it font is still very tiny. Especially for people who are older, the print version may be very difficult to physical read for an extended period of time. This was the same problem I had with the print version of the Zondervan NIV study bible. I wish they would make the print bigger.

The Bible itself is aesthetically pleasing. They fit a lot of content inside. I wish the font size was bigger. It's a bit hard to read without adequate lighting.

Great addition to help grow deeper

This Bible is great for providing background information about each book. Also has notes for many of the verses to aid with actually biblical interpretation. (This a not devotional notes that you will find in a lot of study Bibles). I highly recommend.

I attend an only KJV church, and I would be considered a heathen if they knew I ordered this bible. I don't teach Sunday school nor am I allowed to teach because of my views on Calvinism (salvation is of the LORD) , but I just love Don Carson and his teaching of God's word! Just as Noah built an ark for the saving of his house, by God's grace and mercy, I too am building this ark by studying, teaching, living, and sharing God's word with my family! Please pray for me to not be critical to my church on their views of easy believism. I need wisdom in this matter. Thanks!!

Good study Bible that you can easily read and understand also comes with theological explanations.

I love this bible and I love that it is from a trusted source "Zondervan". The NIV is what I grew up trusting and reading so I love that this is in NIV. The theological notes are great, it cements what the Bible is saying into my brain so I can process the Bible better versus just reading through the words and feeling like it isn't applicable to life anymore. This book truly interests me and I read it when I have quiet time on the weekends. I think this is a great book for genuine students of the Bible.
