Worth the money
The only review you need to read. This is for freshwater review. NOT FOR SALTWATER!!!These are amazing reels for the price. For anyone who is starting out or is avid fishermen. I been using these 4 to 5 times a week on the biggest lake in PNW. I fish Lake Washington. With 30 different types of fish. And different sizes and weight. With great success.I currently own 3 of these Piscifun Flame reels. On 3 different setups, from pan fish to large mouth and cat fish. My setups are all less then $60 including the line I put on the reel.I I get the smooth cast everytime. From my 5" to 7" pole. Using all size lures and just to a split shot and bober set up for some panfish. You wont be disappointed in this reel. This isn't your cheap plastic walmart reel or reel and combo, you get at walmart. This reel does compete with the Penn or even other high end reels. But for a more affordable price tag. I have mine for a year now. And still cast smooth like day one. I don't keep up with the oiling and other maintenance, becuase I wanted to see how long it will last with neglect, also less $30 I can buy a new one if needed to be. So far over a year of use. And still going strong. I will recommend this to any fresh water fisherman or fisherman. It's a great reel for the beginner or the advance. Would I use this for a bass competition, probably. Lol.So here my setup for pan fish and basic bass fishing. If you are new to fishing or just wanting a nice cheap freshwater setup.Panfish - Bluegill, sunfish, pumpkin seeds, perch, white or black crappie, etc.I use a shakespeare micro series rod. This is my 5" rod. Ultra light. Great to feel even the smallest bites.Around $20 on amazon.Bigger fish - Trout, Bass, Walleye, etc.Berkley Cherry Wood HDThis is a full wood rod. Coming in around 6'6 and also a 7" rod. Medium/heavy. Now before you say why would you want a Medium/heavy for trout or even walleye. This has a tip of a light rod (meaning you can fill small bites), but the back bone of a heavy rod. I pulled 13lbs fish in on 8lbs test thanks to this rod. This is like the name says. Made of cherry wood, so the tip is easily breakable. But wont break from weight of bigger fish. It's great rod. I been using them for 15+ years now. And own multiple sizes.Around $20 on amazon.I use berkely invisible line on all my reels. Just personal choice.

Great Reel
Piscifun Reels are what I own! They are well built, they cast well and they are smooth. Take care of them and they will take care of you. They are priced very good for the exceptional quality that you will be using. I just purchased this for Pan Fish, mainly Crappie and it does not disappoint. I have 4lb test on it and it casts with ease and I personally just can't say enough about Piscifun. They keep me and my family fishing without the hassle of worrying about something breaking or being cheap. If you are looking for a great Ultra light, the search is over!

These reels from overseas are becoming too good.
First off, I want to say I only gave it four stars because I have not taken it out on the water yet. That said, I have been immersed in angling since '85. I worked at a tackle shop on the Jersey shore, and angling was what set me down the path to study biology and aquaculture. In other words: I have a pretty good feel for what's quality, and what's going to get you through one season. This reel is the former, and for the price it's borderline thievery.Back in my tackle shop days, a new company came to the market: Okuma. I see that as the beginning of the "overseas invasion." It took only a few years for companies to flood the market with affordable, acceptable quality reels. My first purchase from one of those companies was an Okuma Fina FHS50, a 5000 size--I bought it for Striped Bass--mind you this was salt water, not hybrids. I still have that reel and it's in fine condition to this day. Sure the case paint is chipping a bit, but with proper and regular maintenance, it's still my primary go-to when I go for the monsters. That reel is close to 30 years old. Sitting next to my grandfather's old Penn Peerless, I have no reservations in thinking it will be as old as that Penn.My point in all this rambling mess of a review, is: Don't hesitate to try any reel from Piscifun. While this is my first Piscifun, my fishing buddy has a few and has put many hours on them. I tried one of their Viper Xs' for a while when we were our one day, and I was more than satisfied with it. When I moved halfway across the country, I somehow missed bringing a good portion of my freshwater tackle--I only have baitcasters for bass, and pool cues for monster cats, pike, etc. I have to rebuild my freshwater tackle, and I needed something I can toss light lures with. When I ordered, I mistakenly chose the 2000 size reel. When it was delivered I realized my mistake. Even so, I decided to keep it as it's such a nice product that, and if it doesn't fail after a couple hours, I'll happily purchase the 1000 size. Anyway, the reel is incredibly smooth, there's hardly any wobble from the bail when turning the handle rapidly. It has instant anti-reverse (that's not stated in the product description) is light and compact, and it packs the line--top to bottom--wonderfully. It does come with a few shims to install if for some reason yours doesn't, which shows foresight from the company. It's comfortable in the hand when placed on a rod. The drag is exceptionally smooth and responsive, and the all-aluminum spool is equipped with their proprietary easy cast beveled spool. If you are just getting into the hobby, or just want something to use a couple times while at the lake/shore house, this old salt wouldn't hesitate to recommend this reel--and I'd standby that suggestion. I'm already smitten with it and I've yet to get it wet.

Quality at a great price!
I almost bought a similar reel at a similar price. It's good that I didn't! This one well built, aluminum spool and durable materials. No plastics parts! Smooth casts and retrievals. Can't beat the quality for the price! Thinking about getting others in different colors.Gone fishing!

Best Reel for the Money!
These reels are silky smooth, and feel as solid as any $100+ reel out there. There is nothing about this reel that I don't like. I’d definitely recommend these reels to anyone looking for a budget friendly reel.
