they are good basic panties, but if you have somewhat thicker thighs, you might need to go up a size. I am 5'4" and 155lbs and got the M probably just out of stubbornness as I am recently at this higher than normal (for me) weight. I should have gotten L, but M fits okay too. Have not washed the first pair yet to know if they withstand the wash. The quality seems good enough :)
