Great shorts, but be prepared for shrinkage.
These have the perfect amount of flotation to supplement my swim training. Helps get my hips a boost and still lets me practice my natural stroke. The sit low on the hips, but nice and snug without being overly tight. Gotta be gentle putting them on, as fingernails can easily put a gouge in them. The one issue I have is that their is zero room for the twig and berries. When I say zero, I mean zero. After a swim I pull these off and the little guy takes a few seconds to get un-smashed. I would love to see a little extra material in the crotch to make room for at least an average fella.

Excellent buoyancy
The core short offer exceptional buoyancy and flexible range of motion to the legs much like the full body Blueseventy Helix does for the whole body. I am size small-medium with a waist size of 31-32. The medium would have probably fit me tight but considering my muscular thighs, I opted for size large and it fit me perfect. If you have track cyclist's legs as oppose to a runner's legs (long and slim) you may want to order a size up. I used this for lap swimming at the pool once or twice a week. It works like a pull buoy but better because you can still flutter kick. I'd recommend rising the wetsuit with wetsuit shampoo every use or the chlorine will short-live the shorts. Also, keep away from extreme heat or direct sunlight when not in use.

Great swim shorts...
Just received these and swam with them today.Fit: I'm not a small guy, 5'11", 220 lbs. Not flabby , built muscular and wear a size 36 pants. Ride about 100 plus miles a week on my bike and swim 3 days a week, about 1500m per session. These were easy to get on, but felt very snug, I also felt like people might get a little moon scape when i swam. I tightened up pretty snug with the waist string and overall they stayed in place fairly well.Performance: Awesome: I'm a fairly new "serious" swimmer, so take it for what it's worth. These really helped with my style. They kept my hips up VERY easily and my hip rotation was the best I have ever had. i usually go about 1000m before i take a break, today I just swam for 40 minutes and didn't pay attention to my distance. When I looked at my watch I had swam 1600m. Definitely think the shorts helped.I am downgrading them one star for the fit, but they are a 5 star performance. Highly recommend.

Therapy for an older beginner
I needed a lift in the water, so these were exactly what the doctor ordered. They are designed for the most boost, essential for my sinking body. Material is thick, warm, feels stiff, and cut low on the waist, in the manner of a small race suit. I wear large sized clothes and the XL is just large enough.

Bad Fitting Shorts
The shorts sit way too low on the waist. I don't know whey they couldn't have made them just a little higher and more comfortable and so they stay on when you push off the wall of the pool.

Nice material but the cut is a no go.
I ordered a size up but it wasn’t enough. I am usually a small and went up a size to medium. They were so tight and hard to get in. Also left me with a butt crack! It was a no go! They are cut so low... I am a 39 hips and medium was way small. Sent them back and I won’t be reordering. The cut is way off. It is not for people who are curvy!

Great for swimming laps and for isolating your arms during training.
These swim trunks were my first neoprene shorts and they are really excellent. Pretty easy to get into and after my swim I just peel out of them before washing them so convenient on both ends. The trunks effortlessly lift my hips and legs and actually noticing that has given me things to work on in my freestyle stroke. They are comfortable and allow for a good range of motion. When I use them, I can relax about trying to keep my hips and legs high in the water (I have regular shorts to practice those skills) and concentrate on my arm movements, which has greatly improved my stroke. I don't know if your sports equipment should make you look forward to doing laps or training, but these trunks have done just that for me. I've used them exclusively for a chlorinated pool (washed afterwards every time) and they've been super. I would be happy to buy another pair whenever I work these trunks into the ground (or water). I did have to buy one size larger than usual but doing that has given me a very good fitting pair of shorts.

Great but too small even at xtra large
Rated 3 stars due to size. Friend and I both triathletes 34 waist and x large too small especially over butt as cut too low to prevent water intrusion even though very tight we both need larger size or redesign of waist of this product . Otherwise love the quality and effect of use, excellent material.
