Experience with JMGO: My first order of the JMGO N1S 4K was, according to JMGO, the first version of their product and had awful light spill (this is light that's beyond the border of the image and looks like a halo of light). This was already quite disappointing since it's frustrating that they would continue to sell the old version when a newer version is available. They told me to return the old one and re-order (no guarantee of getting the newer version. Luckily, I did receive the newer version which basically covers the lower part of the lens to reduce the light spill. Unfortunately the light spill was still visible with the newer version. While the projector has great image quality, this light spill completely removes you from the experience, especially when you're watching a darker scene and all you can see is a line visible underneath the image. The product page also blatantly claims that the rainbow effect is resolved but it is not, it is quite visible as another reviewer has mentioned in another review on amazon. I am not sensitive to it and own other DLP projectors but the N1S 4K really has it in a bad way. JMGO claimed to me that they are a small business which is also not true, they are a large player in the projector space. Overall my experience with JMGO has been less than stellar, and while the projector has a nice image, it is marred by strong rainbow effect, strong dithering (this looks like red laser ants running across the screen), and terrible light spill even in the newer upgraded unit. Considering all of this, I would not want to deal with JMGO in case I need to use their warranty and I would recommend another brand. UPDATE: New unit also has light spill despite their updated version. Also if you plan on returning this, be prepared to wait for a month to get your money back since this has to be returned to the US and has to go through customs clearance which could take a very long time. Currently waiting on two refunds both stuck at clearance.

I previously had and N1S pro and was unhappy with it. Needless to say I sent it back during the return window and I said I wouldn't buy another projector from JMGO, however when I saw the specs and the price on the N1S 4K I had to at least give it a try, and man I'm glad I did because this perfect balance of resolution, brightness, price, and portability. After having the N1S 4K for about a week now I'm extremely pleased. Pros: 1. Packs a punch with brightness 1100 ISO lumens(1375 ANSI) makes a usable picture even in moderately lit conditions. 2. It's much smaller than the N1S pro (around the same size as the XGIMI Halo series). 3. Has a 1/4 20 mount on the bottom to easily mount it to most standard tripods and projector ceiling mounts. 4. Has built-in Google TV OS and allows Native Netflix app to be used without workarounds and in full 4K resolution. 5. Has very decent audio quality with duel speakers that produce enough volume to fill a normal sized family room with out sounding tinny or distorting. Cons: 1. Google TV OS can be laggy at times, but not all the time. 2. No backlight on the remote control 3. No optical zoom or lense shifting. (But is to be expected at this size and price point. 4. Probably not the best choice for a more permanent installation as there are better brighter options for a true home theater projecter that doesn't need to be as portable as this. 5. Lacks an internal battery. I would have like to have seen at least a modular option that would have attached somehow to the base. You can however use adapter to be able to use this with a power bank. Overall if you want a really great and bright portable projector that comes without any major caveats, then I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMEND THIS UNIT!!!

I've been using the JMGO N1S 4K projector lately and honestly, I'm obsessed. I don't have a TV in the bedroom, so I wanted something that was easy to move around and super simple to use. After doing a ton of research and ruling out the clunky, heavy ones or the ones that can't handle light, this one just made the most sense. It nails both the features and the price. What sold me first was the built-in smart gimbal system. It auto-focuses and auto-corrects the image no matter how you tilt or turn it, even when I aim it at the ceiling. You don't need a tripod or stack of books, just drop it on a nightstand or table and you're good to go. The thing only weighs about 4.4 lbs, so it's super easy to carry around. Yesterday I was watching in the living room, today it's chilling on my dresser in the bedroom. Total flexibility. Now let's talk about picture quality. This thing is 4K with triple laser tech, and the image is just chef's kiss. Bright, super colorful, crazy sharp. You actually see details like the gradient in the sunset or moonlight peeking through clouds, stuff I'd totally miss on a tablet or laptop. At night, projecting on a plain wall feels like I've got a mini theater at home. Even during the day, as long as I pull the curtains, the image is still super clear. It honestly feels like having an IMAX experience without ever leaving the house. It's not just for movies. I use it to play music, do workouts, and even game a little. All in all, the N1S 4K totally fits my homebody lifestyle. Being able to lounge in bed and still get that big-screen vibe is the dream.

First time using a projector at home—and I’m really impressed. Pros: Compact and easy to carry, the case is so light that I think I could bring it outdoor Projects clearly on different surfaces (even blackout blinds, what a surprise!) Auto focus adjustment works smoothly and quite smart in fact Plays directly from DVD players, which is perfect for my library movie nights The color is stunning, even when projecting to the shades between sunset and evening (see the photos). Convenient to have YouTube, Netflix, google TV, Prime video, and other options The price seemed to be the most affordable option among similar products for home use Cons I’m not very tech-savvy, so I found the setup guide a bit too simple. Also, the voice input didn’t work until I realized you have to log in first—this should be made more obvious. screen mirroring is also possible with extra app. My tip: don’t judge too quickly. Once you get past the initial setup, it’s actually very user-friendly. Overall: If you’re looking for a lightweight projector with solid performance that doesn’t require a screen, this one is worth trying. I’m quite happy with it. As you can tell, I don't know many technology terms, but my eyes and other sensations have approved how fabulous the experiences have been.

Pros: --- Price: There isn't any 4k tripple laser projector in the market at under 1k. --- Colors: The best I've seen so far, can rival any large screen TV. --- Gimbal Design: Adds to the projector's charm and portability as you don't need extra stands. Also comes with a carrying box making it easy to take this 4.4lb cinema on the go. --- Overall wow factor: Great design, build quality, on the go projector that can produce amazing 4k, deep colors and high contrast pictures at an affordable price. Cons: --- Brightness: Ok for 100" images in dark or dim lit rooms but feels totally washed out as indoor lights are tunred on. I found Danbei Atom projector at a lower price point to be much brighter. This a BIG issue as casual viewing happens in moderate lighting. --- Sound: While sound is good enough for casual watching for cinema like feel you'll need external speakers.
