This hat is expensive but robust and effective and well worth the money. I have fair skin which burns very easily, but since buying this hat I've been able to stop wearing facial sunblock and haven't caught the sun once, even during extended hilltop walks on hot days. The drawstring gives a good close fit, the hat rolls up and reshapes easily, and has remained surprisingly attractive for such a functional and heavily-used item. It really is very pretty. The instructions say it should only be spot-cleaned, but I have machine-washed it in cold water in a pillowcase, and it has survived well, although the leather trimming has cracked a little and some of the beads have come loose. It's one of the best things I've ever bought.

A very well-made hat! It was bought to replace a cheap imitation and when you see them side by side the quality of the Wallaroo is obvious. The overlapping layers of fabric/tape mean that no light penetrates the hat, and gives the brim some rigidity, so it is easy to shape and wear in different styles. The drawstring around the inside makes achieving a perfect fit easy. Now looking at buying other colours too!

Great hat. Looks good on. Like that it is adjustable roung the crown. Looks good with any item of clothing. Tempted to buy another in a different colour. Worth money to know it has such a high SPF protection.

Totally lives up to description rolls well for packing stays in shape despite robust treatment. Olloks good, protects from sun.

This is my third Wallaroo hat. They are perfect as I need high protection from the sun. They fit easily with the adjustable tie. I find them easy to wear and attract many positive comments.

I love this hat and have been wearing it every summer since I bought it. Lightweight, easy to roll up and pack away, SPF seems to work well too and stylish

I purchased two Wallaroo sun hats for my cruise, the Breton and petit scrunching and was delighted with both of them. The Breton has a 50 SPF, great if you're serious about keeping those ageing sun rays off your face! The fit is adjustable so my having a small head was not a problem, as it is with most other son hats. It can be flattened and rolled and easily put in your handbag and is returned to shape in seconds. I wore it with the brim down, so it easily shaded my face. I chose the white and black hat which looked great with my black swimsuit. I had three people tell me how nice it looked and asked me where I bought it. It was worth every penny. Very pleased.

Brilliant hat. Far far better than their scrunchie. I already had one of these hats in red and wanted another for my wardrobe. I live abroad and it is essential I have these hats. If not being used they can be folded up and put into a biggish handbag. I definitely recommend this hat over all others.

I have never been able to fit in a O/S hats (one size fits all), but my Sister had on a very cute hat and asked her what brand it was. It turned out to be a Wallaroo "Sidney". She told me it was a O/S and it fit her big head too. I tried her hat on and it fit. I was so surprised. It has a tie inside the hat to adjust to your size. She said on windy days she tightens her hat so it won't blow away. She told me she purchased it on Amazon, so I immediately searched for a hat. I purchased the "Breton" style hat in chocolate color and I love it. IT FIT!!!!! I love that you have options on how to wear the brim and how it folds up for storage. It looks very well made, so hopefully it will be a durable, cute little hat.

A great hat. Perfect material for staying cool and perfectly sized brim for shading the face. It's a nice neutral color, too. I like that it's packable/rollable. My friend has had hers for years, and it looks as fresh and new as my just-purchased one.

Quality hat, very comfortable and adjustable. I snipped off the beaded trim and have made several ribbon bands to wear instead. I can clip on an accent (such as a small "bouquet" of feathers) to coordinate with my outfit. I am in KS where the summers can be 100* plus and this hat is the perfect combination of sun protection and an airy weave that allows air circulation. You won't be disappointed.
