TaylorMade RocketBallz Rescue Club

played today...203 yard par 3 and dropped it on the green, off the pin and 2 inches from a hole in 1! Took me a couple days to get it locked on. New sets of clubs dont come with a 3 iron, instead this "hybrid" rescue wood at 21 or 22 degrees replaces the 3 iron. I wasnt thrilled at first to lose a 3 iron and replace it with a wood. As generally a 3 iron is much easier to sit down on a green and manipulate direction. I was wrong. This club can do it all...I generally hit a 3 iron about 210 and this club goes 210 with a smooth swing...I can jump on it and get 220 I can lay off of it and hit as low as 180 with a high arc. It sits right down and has been an incredible improvement in my game. I wouldnt hit any other club than taylor made and I bought in hook line and sinker to this new "hybrid" revolution. I highly recommend you drop your 3 iron and get the hybrid....

To preface my review, I am a 16 hcp index and have been playing golf for about 7 years, and pretty consistently for about 4 years. I was looking for a club that would give me more distance than my 19 degree Callaway Razr Hybrid yet less than my 15 degree 3-wood. The Taylormade RocketBallz 19 degree hybrid replaced my Callaway Razr Hybrid which felt dead when I made contact with the ball (I also found the shaft to be incredibly stiff). What I noted with the Taylormade RocketBallz 19 degree hybrid was that the ball does pop off the face, and the look at address is clean. The club is light weight which allows for a faster swing speed, and I picked up noticeable difference from the Callaway Hybrid which was only 2 years old. I can consistently hit this club 200 yards, roughly 10 yards further than my old hybrid. I find the club easy to hit off the fairway, while also versatile enough to hit out of rough, though the face can get snagged in heavy rough but at that point I'm just trying to get the ball back in play and choke down on the club. I find it easy to hit the Taylormade RocketBallz 19 degree hybrid off downhill lies and side hill lies. I have been so impressed with the club that I'm considering replacing my Callaway Diablo Edge 3-wood with the Taylormade RocketBallz 3-wood since the look and performance are very appealing. I would highly recommend this club for mid handicappers. I don't work the ball much during the round, though I have a natural draw which seems unimpeded by the club.

My club came in the mail today. Needless to say its what I've come to expect from Amazon. Its just beautiful and perfect. Cant wait to take it to the range.Look out Golf Galaxy. Amazon actually has the clubs u want for less.

Price was lower then any sporting goods store. Deliver within two days. I have hist these clubs longer and streighter then any of my clubs. I will be 71 in August and I am on a league. I have always been in the top %, but these clubs have lowered my score. They feel good and I have faith in every shot

Not sure if it is a 3 wood or a rescue wood. It says 3 on it!

Fit me to a T, right out of the box. used it off the tee, and out of the rough. Easy to control, dependable yardage.

Don't order the "ladies flex" - it feels like I'm playing with a noodle. This is the only club in my bag that I'm never sure if I can hit a ball with it - at all. If I'm really speedy with my hands (alter my swing dramatically) then I can make contact - otherwise this is the most demoralizing thing in my bag. Not sure why everyone else loves it in these reviews. I don't. And, none of the men I play with can use it either.

I used this club for the first time on the driving range last night both tee'd up and from the ground. I normally have a hard pull to the right and with this club it was virtually gone. I've never hit another club as straight as this one. I'm just getting into the game but this is my new favorite, all around, club. First time swinging it I got at least 150 yards out of it. I'm not a strong swinger yet so this was good for me. I'll probably look into buying more of these!
