It was good for my 7yo kid, who is 4.1 and a little over 60lb. He stood up with no problem. The only problem is the leg Velcro stopped holding well after 2 weeks of daily use, but it’s fixable - we used one from our boggy boards

Bought this surf board for our near 9 yr old grandson who weight 65 or so lbs. He is around 45” in height. He has been body boarding up to this point in the surf and truly enjoys the beach. He recently watched surfers on Galveston Island and said he was ready to make that step. So we bought this board along with a better ankle leash as others did also. On its arrival he was over joyed and put on the fins and leash with a small amount of help. The next morning we went to the beach and headed out into the water. First try about 30 yards from shore he laid on his stomach to get accustomed to the balance. I lined him up with a wave and gave him a push which he rode all the way to shore. 2nd try I lined him up with a wave gave him a push he started on his stomach and raise up on knees and made it almost to the shore. 3rd try I we did all the same and he made it to standing up and went about 10 yards before falling into the water. 4th try all the same again but this time he made it to shore standing up, jumped off and did a happy dance. For the next 2 hours he had multiple results but stayed with it and having 4 complete rides to shore and several near shore rides, plus multiple falls. But had one those greatest times of his life. He says he is now a true surfer for life. The board is a foam board with a nice covering that’s a beauty and looks sweet (according to him). It has a nice slick bottom with the 3 fins. So, if you are questioning buying one for a kid 100 lbs and less and they really want to give surfing a try. Our grandson loves it and says it is well worth it. His Nonnie and I already have several pics and videos of his enjoyment 🏄♂️😁 We are heading out again for his 3rd outing of fun. We hope y’all get as much enjoyment as we are. We also we’re not paid by or affiliated with this company.

It’s a piece of styrofoam in roughly the shape of a surfboard. Not “shaped” just kind of cut out. I know the price is affordable but very disappointing. I’d be surprised if it survives the car ride to the beach.

Barely more than an elongated boogey board. Based on my experience I doubt seriously the advertised 110 max weight capacity. However, it’s perfect for our 3 1/2 your old grand daughter who can already stand and balance on a surf board in a pool and wants to surf like Lilo and Stitch. She weighs 35 lbs and is almost 40” tall. If she learns how to get up and stand and ride in the gentle swells towards the beach and it lasts three seasons, it will be worth it. She loves the color…. BTW - her mama learned how to surf at 8 and beat the heck out of her fiberglass board for years. I’m sure our granddaughter will graduate to a board like that too. In the meantime it will be a great starter board.
