This 6" vice replaces the 4" vice on my drill press. It's well made and does the job.

Good value for money. But! the vice jaw lifts when tightening onto whatever is being gripped.To cure it, turn the vice over, remove the two screws that hold the sliding jaw bar to the bed, place two 6mm washers at the screw holes to fill the gap between the sliding jaw and the sliding jaw bar. Replace the locking washers and screws through the sliding jaw bar and washers, adjust the screw tension to suit.Worked for me.

I had bought this to go with my bench pedestal drill, the idea being to secure smallish item securely when being drill. Unfortunately the slots and holes do not mate up between the two. So the options are to either drill holes to enable it to fit securely or fix it to my work bench for smaller jobs. The reason it's my fault is because l saw and read a review saying exactly as l found out the hard way. Other than that l like it and provided it will fit your pedestal drill, I will be a good buy.

This is an excellent bit of kit. professionally turned out and very heavy for its size. I have not bolted it to the bench drill table as it is heavy enough to hold by hand. I also move it around the workshop to use with other machines if necessary. I recommend it

Very sturdy lump of a vice. No problems with it tightening level. If anything it's a bit too big for what I needed but that's my fault. Will buy the smaller one as well to fit my drill press stand better.

I cannot fault this for the price. Holds the item in the chuck very well. Good addition for the work shop.

Seems to be a very solid and well made vice, but it is much larger and heavier than i was expecting, cannot fault it for that, my mistake. Check the size and weight 1st.
