Great product
My floor has held great. I would recommend if you are worried about a floor moving on you.

Stuff is the best
I’ve used every kind of under tile system and I keep coming back to Ditra. It’s expensive but it’s very effective and easy to work with, forgiving, and bonds well as long as you follow instructions. I got a great price from this Amazon seller as well. I would definitely buy it again.

Fan-freaking-tastic
Doing a kitchen remodel with my husband and originally we wanted to have the tile laid professionally, but after assessing the budget we decided to save by doing the tile floor ourselves. We thought we had to use concrete baseboard, but after some research and a clue-in from one of the professional tilers we talked to, we decided to go with Ditra. We've never done an underlayment before, but having used this for my first time out has impressed me BIG TIME. So easy to lay down, measure and cut!! Our only challenge was finding the right type of thinset to go on top of the ditra (between the Ditra and the Tile), but after some searching we found a local place that carried it. PROS: Easy to install, Easy to cut, Easy to measure, Provides a full instruction manual and the website provides videos, the square "pockets" make it easy to see that you're laying your tile straight -- no need for chalk lines CONS: You MUST use modified thinset to adhere the Ditra to a wood subfloor, and UNMODIFIED thinset between the Ditra and the Tile (we're using Natural Stone Travertine, 18"x18" tiles) in order for the thinsest to dry and adhere properly. Home Depot/Lowes/Ace don't carry it, so it's a bit of a pain trying to find the right stuff. While it is a pain to find the right thinset, I can't deny that the product is exceptional when it comes to install. Will come back later and report on the actual tile once it's laid and set for some time, but based on other reviews and the word of professionals, I don't think we'll have any problems.

Well worth the time and effort
This is by far the best underlay first a tiling project. This is my 3rd roll I have bought for different projects, each one over 300 sq feet. Very easy to install, take your time and well worth the finish effect. It is a little expensive but Schluter is good.

I would also recommend mixing the thinset a little looser than the mix ...
Product works as described for the most part. However, I would caution anyone regarding the claim that you can lay tile as soon as you lay the Ditra. If you put any weight on the Ditra, the wet thinset underneath will move causing depressions and rises where you put weight on it. I would also recommend mixing the thinset a little looser than the mix for the tiles themselves. All in all, I would gladly use this product for any future floor tile jobs I do. It's ease of cutting, lack of joint taping and no concern for numbers of joints far outweighs the issues I had with the learning curve to use it.

Pointers for newbees and those who never used this product
First, this is a great product. If you chose to use it, this is what a first timer to this product should be aware of. 1- do NOT stand of kneel on the product when you are using your wood trowel to flatten the ditra over the mortar. you WILL make flat dent spots with your knee into the wet mortar. you will ALSO push the mortar into "high spots" from your knee displacing the mortar in that spot. You wont see it at first, but once its dry you will have dips and high spots from your knee which you WILL Have to cut out and patch after its hard. 2- if you have high spots from the above scenario, or you didnt compress and flatten it out well, you MUST cut out and patch those spots, or you will have issues laying your tile. 3- if you chose to tile immediately after laying the ditra, just be aware that you knees will cause the issue above of you kneel on the uncured ditra. so try to not kneel on it, or at least use some cushion kneeler over the ditra while you work. 4- unroll your ditra, and re-roll it inside out to remove the curl. Let it sit re-rolled overnight if possible. 5- If you chose to let the ditra cure before laying tile, then use your tile to sit over the edge of the freshly laid ditra to make sure the edges dont curl up off the floor.

Fair price (for a generally highly overpriced product), and quick delivery
The Ditra arrived quickly and in time to begin the installation. The price was lower than local construction supply stores. Too bad this product is so overpriced
