This has staggered holders on either side of the shaft. Mercruiser has both bolts in one line.

Shipment arrived fast & was able to put the part in relatively quick which led to the boat in the water promptly!

Works but with modifications for mounting. Used 3\8 washers to get a snug fit on old bolts
Well for the price it works on my mercruiser 3.0. One thing is that it did not come with new bolts. I had also had to use 5 or so 3\8 washers on each bolt so the starter sits flush against the flywheel.
