no then it wouldn't work it has to stay on for it to protect Against any surges in electricity

Q: What is the AWG?, it says 15 amps but the cable looks to be 16 gauge or higher. 15 amps cable should be 14 gauge or lower

I don’t recall using this device. I read thru the specs and they mention the 5’ power cable, but not the AWG of the conductors. Working with the national electrical codes before retirement, for ampacity if it carries 15 amps, it has to be 14 AWG. Unless something changed after I retired. Good luck.

They won't replace your electronics they might replace the cord if there's something wrong with it but that's what renters insurance is for or Insurance period for your home
