Brilliant essential if you have chipboard floors.

Prompt delivery, well packed, instructions on card. Sturdy heavy tool. Purchased to facilitate removal of nails in chipboard floor to access space below. Reviews suggested it was worth paying extra to get the hammer action. However In order to get device to grip flush nail heads needed a lot of chiselling around nail heads to get enough space to apple jaws then I didn’t find it particularly easy to handle or to get grip to work by lever action. Tried this on one nail and gave up as still not gripping and was wrecking boards which I intended to re position. So may be of use if you don’t intend to re-use chipboard/ boards you are removing but I was disappointed. Expensive mistake.

Good design, works well. But, when I unwrapped the packaging, I cut my finger on curled metal shavings coming from where the hammer shaft enters the housing. I think the metal shavings were left over from drilling the housing. Perhaps I should have seen them before I cut my finger, but, on the other hand, the filings should not have been there. Once I removed the filings, the product is fine.

Used one similar many years ago haven’t found this one to be as good as I expected.
