Q: what is the frequency range on this driver

50-4500hz is probably a good estimate. This is one of my all time favorite drivers because it covers such a broad range. You will need a tweeter for this driver, but the amazing thing about it is how low it reaches and how clean the bass stays. By that I mean the harmonic distortion is kept to an absolute minimum within the specified frequency range. However you will need to have a low pass on this to avoid the cone breakup above 4500hz which is quite sharp

Q: What is the maximum wattage this thing can take?

I don't have the specs, but I recall the speaker was rated at 25 watts RMS. Search online, I recall a Chinese company had all of the specs listed. BTW, I was running them through an amp that was rated 60 watts RMS a channel and that didn't blow them out.
