hope this helps
Let me start by saying, I was going to look for another mold for votives. I made my first set of these candle and after setting up, I could not get the candles free of the mold. I am using soy wax to make my candles and find the soy wax doesn't release from the mold so easily. So after wonderingwhat to do to free the candles from the mold, and came back to look at reviews to see if anyone else had the same problem. there was one thing I did see that said, if you use soy wax you may need to put them in the freezer for a little bit. I thought ok I'll give it a try. If it doesn't work I've lost money on a piece of junk and have 6 candles werth of wax I can't get back either. I put the mold in the freeze for about 45 minutes to an hour. I then banged the mold on the counter and my candles were free. I do like how they look when they come out of the mold. They look like I went to the store and bought them off the shelf, not like something a diy'er might come up with just trying to figure out how to make some ok looking candles. I will be buying more soon as making candles can get time consuming having to pour you wax then wait for it to set. I would like to pour 4 to 6 molds at a time and be good for the day. Hope this helps those that are having trouble and keeps those new buyers from having trouble.

Good mold that makes crisp 10-hour votives, even with soy wax
I'm relatively new to candlemaking, but wanted to try making votives. I used EcoSoya PB Pillar wax and the wicking that was included with the mold. Prior to pouring the wax, I applied cooking spray to the mold. Once the candles hardened, I had no trouble removing them from the mold. However, I did not like the way the supplied wicking performed in a test burn. It's a metal core wick and it keeled over, melted a hole in the side of the votive and seemed to consume far more wax than it ought to have. I remelted some of the votives, used ECO wick 1 and they burn beautifully. I did not grease the molds for the second batch and they released easily after a bit of time in the fridge. If you're using soy wax, be sure to use one formulated for pillars and votives. Container soy wax is too soft and sticky for this application. I like these molds, but the wicking did not work for me and the crevices are a little awkward to clean. The supplied mold sealer putty works well and is reusable.

Great quality and easy to use.
Was packaged well and I got all the items: Mold, 2 dowel sticks to hold the wicks, a length of wick and sealer. The included wick has a metal core and when I cut it I was able to get 8 lengths of wick thus I made 8 votive candles with it. The seal is great and does not allow the melted wax sip out and is reusable. The mold is quite stable and does not spill the wax even with the seal and bit of wick at the bottom (since you'll have to turn in over to use).Gives a nice design (little ripples tapering to the top) to your votives.Works best with paraffin and beeswax. With soy wax, it is quite difficult getting the candle out.Generally, this is a good quality tool that should last long with good use. Have been using it for about a month now.

but once you figure everything out its easy enough to create cute votive candles
it works, its kind of a pain in the butt to use, but once you figure everything out its easy enough to create cute votive candles. The tack that comes with it does a great job of sealing off the wick hole in the bottom so that there is absolutely no leakage, but setting this straight can be kind of a but and more than once I have had lopsided candles from this..

Smaller than I expected
The molds are smaller than I anticipated. They work but are more like the size of two tea light candles stacked on top of each other. The base of this candle fits in a tea light holder. I would prefer a larger votive. The mold is hard plastic and requires a silicone mold release spray.

Candle Molds
These molds make a votive size candle. The only thing I didn't like about them was the wick that came with them. Very thin. I'm used to working with wick that is about twice the size. Have to see if I can get the wick I already have to work with these molds.

Made beautiful little votive candles!
I bought this to make candles for my wedding reception and they turned out wonderful! Only recommendation I would add is that crafters should make sure they have a good amount of the clay putty used to keep the wicks up and freezing helps get the candles out of the molds easier.

Okay mold
The mold is okay. The votives look fine. It is hard plastic, so you have to use either mold release spray or PAM to get them out.The dowel does not lock into the seats, so I had to use putty to keep it in place.
