VADANIA #K45 12" Soft Close Drawer Slide

I have a beautiful bedroom set and the glider on one of the drawers broke and the set is less than 5 years old. Even though I purchased the warranty for the furniture this is not a "warranted" item. So I was left without anyone to repair it and had no idea where to go to find a replacement. The furniture store suggested I purchase a new dresser. Yeah right!!! I looked on Amazon and they had a better replacement part for the one that was broke. It was difficult to install because it was the bottom drawer closest to the floor. The part was not the problem for making the installation difficult that was the dressers fault. I will definitely end up replacing all of the gliders for my dresser drawers with these. They are good quality and work much better than the ones originally installed.

I’ll preface this by saying I’ve tried almost every slide on the market that promises soft close and full extension. It’s been an exercise in frustration to the point that I’ve almost considered having our drawer boxes remade and just getting Blum slides. First the positives. The soft close mechanism is the best I’ve felt, by far. The slides are reasonably smooth and feel sturdy. The cons: No instructions in the package. Luckily, installation was similar to the multitude of other drawer slides I’ve tried, so I was able to figure it out. Check the length of the screws before you screw them all the way in on your drawers—I managed to poke through a drawer before I realized they were a hair too long. These require a decent initial tug to get them open and are just generally harder to open than the old roller slides they replaced. So far all of the models I’ve tried have been the same way but have loosened up with use, so I’m hoping these will too. I do wonder if maybe installing the glides at a very, very slight angle would help? As many others have mentioned, they are NOT full extension. My 14” slide leaves about 2.5” in the drawer. So is my quest for the perfect slide over? No. It’s super frustrating that they’re not full extension. And I wish the pull was easier. But unless I’m willing to swap out the drawer boxes so we can replace them all with Blum slides, I think these are the best we’ll get. If these were actually full extension, I’d be giving them 5 stars compared to everything else on the market.

I picked up the VADANIA 14" Soft Close Drawer Slide #VK1245 for a small cabinet upgrade, and they ended up being the quiet hero of the whole project. The slides feel solid right away, with a noticeable weight that screams durability, and the extension is smooth all the way out. The soft-close feature is actually soft not that aggressive slam-then-catch you sometimes get. Installation was straightforward if you’ve done drawer slides before, and once they’re in, the 100 lb capacity feels believable. Funny story, I installed these late at night thinking it’d be a quick swap. First test close, and instead of the usual loud CLACK that wakes up the entire house, it gently glided shut like it was trying to whisper goodnight. I got way too excited and kept opening and closing the drawer like a kid with a new toy… my dog was not impressed, but I was. It genuinely makes a difference in how “finished” the furniture feels. Helpful tip: take a minute to get your alignment perfect before fully tightening everything down. Even though these are forgiving, a slightly off install can affect how smoothly the soft-close engages. Once dialed in though, they’re incredibly consistent. Overall, these feel like a quality upgrade that punches above their price point and I’d absolutely use them again.

These sliders were great. We installed them on a dresser and they are sturdy and closed softly as expected. No issues at all. The only thing my wife noted was that the drawer is a little hard to open because they hold the drawer closed so well. We decided this wasn't an issue and actually a feature we liked with them being in our nursery. I plan to replace other drawer glides with these in the near future.

Some slides had an extra plastic tab from the manufacturing process that prevents the drawers from closing fully. Trying to force close the drawer pushes metal into these plastic tabs. Contacted the MFR to learn if it was design a defect or if those tabs had a specific purpose in some circumstance with different (matching) slide parts. After first contact from MFR (asking for order number, which I gave), MFR has since refused to communicate. Not all the slides that came in this order had this defect. I'd give a "3", maybe "4" if the MFR had the common sense to address the issue, but they have irresponsibly and inexplicably clammed up. No bueno. IMO parts that are not the same, with "defects" that prevent proper use, with no customer service, deserves this supplier to NOT be counted on to supply quality parts. I only gave a "2" instead of a "1" because some of the slides actually worked. On second thought, I give no value to companies that won't communicate with customers. I didn't even ask them to send new slides, just clarify if the slides I got were a different type. Therefore I'm lowering my rating to 1. I have researched soft-close drawer slides for MONTHS. I purchased these after trying a different brand which disappointed. On the contrary, these slides are terrific! They have a metal pin for catching and closing the drawer, they have steel/greased ball bearings and metal spring bushing for the soft close feature. They're a cinch to install and have plenty of options for securing to your cabinet box and drawers. I did not use the provided screws only because I prefer a specific type for cabinetry. I purchased 5 sets and 4 of them are exactly what I've been looking for. I'm giving 3 stars because one of the slides, while wrapped in manufactures packaging, the ball bearing carriage was bent and 2 of the bearings were loose. I managed to 'repair' to some degree but it will never have the same integrity as the other slides. I have not contacted the seller to work something out but I still may. Shipping was very fast and again - 4 of the 5 sets are absolutely incredible. Don't waste your money on anything else. Just be sure you inspect thoroughly before you go to install.

It's soft, smooth and silent. Feels solid when i handle it, no slack in the parts. Can't wait to mount it and try it out on my project. If its bad in anyway, i will update this review. But if i havent updated the review in 2 months, its a great buy.

The slides work very smoothly and are heavy duty. I'm sure they will work well once I figure out how to install them. The shipment contained zero instructions. Looked for guidance from "Rufus" and that info says to leave over an inch of space EACH side, which can not be correct. This is a good product. Would it be too difficult to throw a copy of instructions in with the product?

I really like these, solid in construction easy to fit, of good design and definitely well manufactured. The bearings are almost silent and the extension is a very smooth glide. A very good product and a brand I would go back to.

Good soft-close slides! Loving the full-extension feature as well as the sturdiness. Installation was smooth and clean. However, the application I was using it for required some adjustment, as noted below. Pros: - Strong and reliable. Don't seem to budge when supporting a moderate weight (>10kg) - VERY smooth. The bearings used are quiet and the spring brings the drawer to a close softly and shuts firmly. - Installation is painless. Separate the rails, measure for height, install the back screw, level, install the front screw. Repeat for the drawer. Slide the drawer in. Done! Cons: - Included screws are trash. Will immediately strip. Throw them away and use proper wood screws. - As is common with many soft-close options, will NOT work if the space between the drawer and the frame is too narrow. Take proper measurements. See note below. - May occasionally require a bit of a push before it closes flush if the springs don't catch when opening. Again, very common with soft-close and is more a consequence of installation error or user error upon opening. 99% of the time it is not an issue. Note: My application was a computer desk keyboard/mouse tray. The slides that came with the desk were cheap beyond reason and broke within the first year of use so I was very excited to try these new slides out. Because keyboard desk slides are often thinner than drawer slides, in order to get the slides to function as intended I had to shave off an extra 1/8" or more of the wood tray sides. Otherwise, if too tight of a fit these slides WILL catch and prevent proper closing. Once I had shaved off enough, they worked perfectly with no issues. Most drawers, however, will not have this issue. Measure your previous drawer slides and compare. Overall, quiet, strong, and reliable slides. More than enough for my application. Would highly recommend.

Very smooth, quiet & fairly easy to install! The soft close is a bonus! Highly recommend!

It took me about 20 minutes to install the slides with the included #1 Philips screws. They are heavy duty precision slides with no play that I could detect. The soft close works very well and is almost silent. The drawer is held open and closed by friction due to the design and that is a very good feature. I am very pleased and will definitely buy these again.
