The easiest way to sort faded lights
Brilliant little kit very easy to use and restored my faded rear lights back to looking new again. The wipes make it very easy to apply the clearcoat and leave a very smooth coat with no runs or streaks and the little 3000grit sanding disc is perfect for the job.10 out 0f 10 3m for making a tricky job really easy

Definitely an improvement
Lights look a lot better than they did, still not amazing but a significant improvement for not much effort

Great product
Used this after polishing my headlights and they look amazing, the clearcoat is pretty thick and seems like it will hold up pretty well. Just be careful when applying it in the wind because it dries out quickly and it's easy to smudge it if you go over the same spot twice.

Only thing would beat this is spray on 2K clear coat.
So I went ahead and took the headlight out of the car. Do a 400 Grit Vertical wet sand, 800 Grit Horizontal wet sand, 1500 Grit Vertical wet Sand, 2500 Grit Horizontal wet sand, finish off with 5000 Grit Vertical wet sand. Dry the headlight with a microfiber towel, then apply it according to instruction. And this is what the headlight looked afterwards (see picture). The clear coat is pretty easy to applied. Although it does bubble up a little during application, but you can easily smooth it out. After an hour, the headlight was ready to be installed. (Dry summer day, 22 C) I did consider leaving the headlight on the car, but: 1. I do not have a garage (dust and insects might ruin my effort). 2. Do not want to sand onto other panel by accident (even with masking tape). 2K Clear lacquer will probably gives better finish. However: 1. It will likely to cost more. 2. Takes longer to be completely cured. 3. A test of your spraying skill. I might consider it when this 3M stuff rotted away.

Good enough
For the price you pay and the longevity I'd say it's good enough. Would however use a plastic film next time.

Excellent headlight clear coat
So easy to use and the headlights, after replenishing glass, are so sparkly

It works
Got this to correct yellowing and crazing in my Peugeot 5008 headlamp. A good grinding with the P3000 disc cleared the yellow completely, although the crazing is still visible if you look hard. All in all, very pleased with the results, although with hindsight I should have used P1500 or less to get the crazing. Nonetheless it’s improved the lights a lot!

I initially cleaned my headlights using wet and dry sandpaper starting at 600 grit, then 1000, 1500, 2000 and finished with 3000 grit until all the yellow and original clear coat had gone. I then used Maguiars Ultra Compound on a drill mounted cutting pad until all the fine scratches had gone, then finished with Maguiars Ultra Polish and buffed it to a clear finish. The final stage was to use a clear coat that would not peel over a short time, but was a little sceptical on using the 3M Quick Clear Coat at first. After watching a few reviews on YouTube I thought I would give it a try and I am sure glad that I did. This product is very easy to use, didn't create a application marks (lines or smears) and dried to a nice crisp and shiny surface. I used one package to do both headlights with two coats on each (applied first coat to both, put the still wet cloth back it the package and then applied the second coat 30 minutes after the first). These lights are 11 years old with 240,000 km on them and the minivan is always outside in the elements. They we're completely fogged up and a vibrant yellow, green color. They were so bad that I couldn't make out any shapes behind the lens (I wish I took a picture before I started working on them). They took me roughly 2 hours to get clear enough to put the clear coat on, but well worth the time spent doing it. Would I recommend the 3M Quick Clear Coat, absolutely I would, but you have to put the work in first to get the best results. There is enough in this pack to do your headlights twice, or two sets of headlights, can't go wrong for this price. Hope this helps.

Only downside was very slow shipping, however it's an awesome product. I had used Headlight restoration kits from other brands, but their UV coat was never upto the mark. However 3M needs no introduction, and this product is excellent one from them. Just follow the direction on packaging for sanding etc and you will end up with almost new looking headlights & tail-lights and will save a lot of money by not buying new lights.Go for it without a doubt in mind, it's a bit costly but is worth every single dime.
