Nifty tool
but doesn’t work with the Janome FMQ foot which was my primary purpose of this purchase . Will use to switch between 1/4” and standard foot but adds an extra bit of work for switching to FMQ foot .

Just got the clamp today and took minute or so to install once I played with it
Plus side, if you have a foot bar thats flat or relatively flat at the mounting points on both sides, this will be rock solid. I am giving it a 4 as pressure to remove feet take some effort and not exactly the most fun in the world....but tons easier than removing and reattaching a screw.Con, won't work with all sewing machines. We have a 70 year old Nelco and fits perfectly and rock solid. The Brother, newer plastic model and will use cheap to describe, it would wobble as the foot bar was rounded. Both of the above have short shank presser feet, so works fine with them.Anyone looking to purchase, look at the presser bar and if rounder on one side where the shank mounts, pass on this. One other note, this does not screw into the existing threads in your bar. Several reviews mentioned that it slid through......it is supposed to. Again, if you have wobble, the bar is not right for this clamp.

Difficult to install but SO worth it!
I installed this on my Brother Quilt Club 1300 and am VERY pleased. I admit, it was difficult to install for a couple of reasons. 1. There were NO INSTRUCTONS so I had to try a couple of different ways before I figured out the correct way. 2. With only the screw head on the left of the presser foot bar, you have to feed the screw through the first piece and the spring and then compress the spring enough to feed the screw into the side of the device that is heavily textured (so it can be finger turned). This was the most difficult part because that part had to be straight enough to engage the screw threads inside while not being able to see them. However, if you keep at it, it will work and then it's so much easier to change your presser feet. Press hard on the far right of the device, your current presser foot will release, then while still pressing, work your new presser foot into position. Gets easier with practice. .... And, I just have to add that both products I bought from Cutex (this one and a 1/4" foot with guide) have been VERY well made. I will not hesitate to buy from them again and again!

Works great, but extremely hard to squeeze
I’d give it 5 stars, but I have to use two hands to squeeze it hard enough to put a different shank on, which kind of takes two hands to position the foot/shank AND press the adaptor at the same time. Hopefully it’ll loosen a tiny bit over time. But if it loosens too much, which I don’t think is possible, it’ll allow wobble in the shank and you don’t want that. Long story short, it was cheap.

Didn't work with my walking foot
The idea behind it is great and the installation was easy. I read in other reviews that it was hard to switch between feet and indeed it was but the reason behind is that it needs to be tight to hold the feet in place, so that's understandable. My issue was that when I attached my walking foot, it just didn't keep it in place. So, for me, it wasn't the right fit and I opted for a refund.

Works great, especially for Juki DDL-8700
No instructions provided but I had a friend with this same item so I knew how to use it. It's supposed to push right through the screw hole for your feet from left to right. Then, on the right side of the shaft where the excess pin is located you place the first silver tube piece, slide it over the pin, place the spring, place the 2nd half of the tube piece. Then that last piece screws onto the pin. All you have to do from there is push the tube extension that's sticking out on the right and let the head of the screw on the left extend. Place your foot on it. Can be stiff at first.

Did not fit on Janome HD9
The post does not fit all the way into the hole on the Janome HD9 high shank industrial machine. Everything else is dependent on this and the post I received does not go in far enough so that the screw head is flush with the machine.

Works well
On the product I make, I change pressure feet several times. This makes the task quick and easy. It's very tight so takes some strength but the feet don't wobble at all. Not all feet work with it because it extends to the right.
