Good radio
Works great for a sxs being waterproof and it's plenty loud. Software is pretty bad so I just manualy programed my frequencies in. I will buy another if this one ever goes out

Solid Radio!
Modified for Ham / GMRS use by holding some buttons while turning it on. Mounted in my boat for a waterproof adventure! Speaker is LOUD and reports say mic audio is too! The radio is like holding a small metal brick in your hand. ! It’s solid!Tested wattage out, measured at 21.5 watts, still plenty for open waters. Not CHIRP programmable but the OEM software was easy enough to navigate. Easily programmable from the mic as well. Very impressed with this tiny radio.

Decent Radio for the side by side
Not the easiest to hand program, easy to unlock for wide use. Gets rained on in the UTV. Microphone Mount had the button fall off behind the mic, easy repair. Paired with a HYS SL-16 Mini flexible antenna. Good for trail riding, loud speaker. I suggest this if youre riding trails and are worried about losing cell service. just be sure to see if anyone is monitoring 6.52 when cruising, or hopefully youre in range of an active repeater. Excellent for those who use their side by side for public service activities as well

Solvent smell in tyt container
Everything in the tyt container is soaked in what smells like a solvent. The plastic bags holding the radio and microphone are dripping solvent. The shipping container does not have any solvent in it, but the product container is dripping with solvent. The user manual is soaked with liquid solvent. Is it safe to use this product? Any guess as to how the product contains got saturated with solvent?ThanksRuss Denny

Everything seems to work
The media could not be loaded. Installed in a side by side. Everything works but out of the box the mic has a rattle. Like there's a weight in it or something that has come loose.. hopefully it stays working for the trip in 2 weeks..**Follow up:**I took the Mic apart to see what the rattle was. there is a plate that is supposed to be screwed to the back that holds the belt clip post from the inside. TYT neglected to put the 4 screws in and it fell offf. poor quality control as I have seen before With TYT.. I found 4 screws and it is fixed as of now but I shouldn't have to work on brand new equipment because of poor QC

First one was a dud
First one I got wouldn't set the privacy codes and transmit correctly. Returned and the replacement works great!Edit 11/2024: Have had this for a while now and everyone I've been trail riding with has commented how clear I sound and quite a few have ended up purchasing one for their own machines. Very happy with it! When mounted overhead, it is easy to hear and understand conversations while riding trails at 30 mph.

DON'T buy this
This unit is a complete waste of money, mine arrived and it looked great. Good packaging, well packed. I opened the unit and it has definitely been opened/used before. The unit then will not turn on. Checked multiple fuses and all the wiring. power all the way to the unit. but the actual unit does not turn on. Its a good looking radio but unfortunately the quality doesn't seem to be there. Steer clear of this product.
