I do not know but I have no problem using it at retreat with lots of other devices plugged in

where are these irons made?

The Quilted Iron is made in England, but has a USB plug. I'm always take mine when I travel. Plus it comes with it's own case and water refill cup.

Is this the iron that was recently recalled?

My iron was recalled. It was not this one. I replaced the recalled iron with this one.
