I took this on American Airlines international and British Airways and I was fine. I did not have the daypack very packed, but it was strapped to the front and it was still okay.

Q: On one of the reviews it mentioned a crossbody carrying strap included to carry as luggage. I don’t see it in my pack. Is this a separate purchase?

Yes, mine came with a strap that I could use to carry it over my shoulder and leave straps for the backpack zipped inside .. will use that when changing multiple lodges in africa as I won’t be trekking far, just need to carry it to our vehicles before leaving in morning
