The Complete Book of Fighters: An Illustrated Encyclopedia of Every Fighter Aircraft Built and Flown Hardcover – January 1, 1995

This was a Christmas present for my Dad. Great book but beware it weighs about 15-20 lbs. kinda big for an 80 year old

I bought this book because I am an aviator at heart and like to read books about aircraft and ships, weapons in particular of WWII period. This book came as described by seller. Despite that a comment by another person who wrote a review about this book describes the product as 2 separate books. The book has most of the fighter aircraft that has flown or built.

This is such an awesome book! My 13 yr. old son is an aspiring mechanical engineer and is very inerested in fighter planes and weapons systems. This has been a fabulous book for him. He can't put it down. It is much more comprehensive than I imagined. Jam packed with info and pictures.

Purchased this book as a gift for my roommate. He is 21 years retired Air Force. This book will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about military planes, including pics and plans. He loves it. Much like an encyclopedia of aircraft only better. Well worth the money.

This publication is reminiscent of the authors earlier articles published in Air International magazine under the title Fighter A-Z which took years and many issues to complete...This work is now complete in one book with updates and added information......Rudolph Zacconi

Husband says this is a great airplane book for pictures with descriptions he really likes it.

The book is very detailed and the pictures are excellent, but I'm am super disappointed in the shape of this book. It was bought for my very special grandfather for his 90th birthday and the condition of this book was more then gently used, water stains, wrinkled pages and a torn sleeve cover. Talk about embarrassing. No I will not order from this company again

This book is a great reference for those interested in aviation and is a wonderful place to start a research on a particular aircraft.

Amazing book of over 600 pages. Its packed full of photos, diagrams and facts. It has all the classics as well as the obscure. A brilliant book but beware its a big book too.

Manche Modelle mit mehr (Entwicklungs-)Geschichte haben entsprechend ein Vielfaches an Text. Zu einem Drittel der Einträge sind auch Seitenansichten vorhanden, teilweise mehrere pro Modell um regionale oder Versionsunterschiede darzustellen.Besondere Augenweide sind über 80 detaillierte, beschriftete Risszeichnungen die sich über 2 Seiten erstrecken, welche auch diverse auswechselbare Anbauten und Außenlasten zeigen. Am Ende der Rezension eine komplette Liste dazu.Einziger Nachteil ist das Erscheinungsdatum des Buches. Der modernste Eintrag ist die Lockheed Martin F-22, aktuelleres wie die Suchoi T-50 oder der Eurofighter Typhoon fehlen daher selbstverständlich.Hier nun eine Liste aller großen Risszeichnungen für Interessierte. Mir persönlich hat die Zeichnung der F-4F Phantom sehr geholfen, um an einem Flugzeugmodell - welches ein Geschenk für meinen Vater wurde - Ventile und Antennen korrekt darzustellen.
