Taking a Calcium supplement is great. What most people aren't aware of is Vitamin K2 is necessary for proper absorption. We certainly didn't know this, until it was explained to us by a specialist in the field. We couldn't find K2 at our local pharmacy, so Amazon to the rescue!

I take K2 alongside D3 as part of my daily supplements for maintaining a strong immune system and for arterial health. I was doing this well ahead of the Covid pandemic, but it's been a smart habit to continue. There is plenty of solid information and study available to back that up if you look for it. I'm a fan of NOW products since discovering them here on Amazon, due to what appears to be quality supplements at a good price point. Only the poorly designed lids is a negative for me, but I have been swapping flip top lids from other jars for so long it doesn't matter.

I only recently found out I should be taking Vitamin K along with calcium & vitamin D for bone density. It is supposed to help the calcium get deposited in the correct place. Within 2 weeks of taking this daily, my fingernails started growing out straight (they had been curving down) & they stopped splitting down the middle the long way. They also got whiter. My hip pain from osteoarthritis improved a lot too. I can only assume the bone is getting repaired better now. These capsules are easy to swallow & I am so glad I tried it.

K2 is an important element to take, to carry your calcium from the bloodstream and into the bones. However be sure to take it with a teaspoon of Magnesium Citrate for best absorption. I find this to be an affordable option. I open the capsule and put it in juice so I cannot comment on the swallowability.
